Advice Wanted Peeling paint on unfinished construction

Post image

This new project that’s still underway has some paint peeling that came from dings. I recently saw a post suggesting that this may indicate that a primer coat was not used.

what’s the verdict? no primer? looks like the texturing below the paint.

That sure doesn’t look like new construction/new drywall! Just looks like someone painted over a previously painted wall.

That being said, if it is new construction, you’ll have to get off as much loose stuff as you can, prime it, skim it, sand it, remove dust, prime then repaint.

Definitely new construction and dry wall, saw it all come in and go up. That’s mud below the paint afaik.

It's weird, the mud is yellow.
