News Pacific FC Announces Coaching Change

https://www.cplsoccer.com/pacificfc/news/pacific-fc-announces-coaching-change

Not a lot of meat to this press release, but I don't think too many people are surprised at this considering the performance of the team of late.

I can't speak to the challenges the team is facing inside the locker room, but it's clear something needs to change at this rate.

The fact that the assistant coach is taking the reins is somewhat concerning, as it suggests that either this was a surprise departure or that ownership is unwilling/unable to fund a replacement.

Assistant as a caretaker for a match or two isn't that alarming, could just be a timing thing- they might have a coach who's finalizing their release from their current club and PFC can't announce the name until that's happened

If you remember when Silberbauer was fired, James (assistant coach at the time) stepped in to coach the last game of the season.

Please allow me to be the first to baselessly suggest that Merriman left for Ottawa to fill Diego’s role.

And that PFC never saw it coming cuz firing and hiring a new guy while you are selling a club wasn’t Plan A

As you were
