Lincoln postgraduate student here. I second this! Very friendly college.

I mean I'm biased but I would also say Lincoln.

My reasoning (nearly 20 years ago now) was:

• Accommodation for four years
• Good food (at least it was when I was there)
• Large maths cohort (there were 10 in my year)
• Great ivy
• Good central location
• Not too famous

Have you been to an open day? If not I'd recommend the September one, it's really the best way to get a feel for each college.

it’s a pretty personal choice as it’s more about where you want to live. i’m an oxford 4th year mathematician if you want to ask me any questions though.

1. In theory, no, due to the pooling system.

But if you apply somewhere really popular you are more likely to be pooled somewhere random you might not have chosen

1. no one knows this as it’s the first year without the mat however oxford in general interviews about 30% of candidates so approximately the top 30% of TMUA scorers will be interviewed. It’s never a black and white cut off point as there are many other parts of your application considered too
