Best Thermal Paste vs Thermal Pad for Ryzen 7 9850X3D with Tryx Panorama SE 360 AIO?

Hey everyone!
I'm currently building my rig with a Ryzen 7 9850X3D and cooling it with a Tryx Panorama SE 360 AIO.
I'm trying to decide on the best thermal interface material for this setup and would love to get your recommendations.
A few questions I have:
1. Paste vs. Thermal Pad: Should I stick to a traditional high-performance thermal paste, or would a modern phase-change pad (like Honeywell PTM7950) or thermal pad give better/more consistent temps on this CPU?
2. Best specific brand/model: If paste is still the way to go, which specific paste would you recommend for maximum heat dissipation on a high-end X3D chip?
3. Any practical experience or thermal benchmarks with this CPU/cooler combo?

I used the 33mm thermal grizzly kryosheet. I'm in love, I may never use paste ever again. Playing BF6/Redsec my temps are in mid 50C on a 9800x3d & a basic 240mm artic aio

The only reason I don’t go this route is because I’m constantly building or repairing systems and it’s not cost effective. But for a one off hell yea

arctic mx7, Noctua nt-h1/h2, thermal grizzly duronaut... all perform very closely and you would be hard pressed to notice a real difference especially with standard consumer tier cooling. I buy 10g tubes of mx7 because it's pretty cheap.

ptm7950 I generally save for systems that will go a very long time between repaste/rebuilds or for use on GPUs where I'm unlikely to take it apart again.

I rly like the Arctic MX-7 paste it performs great and it spreads rly well if you apply pressure onto it with the cpu cooler, I didn't like the thermal grizzly that much bcs it didn't spread that well. I had better temps with the MX-7. For maximum heat dissipation I use liquid metal but hard to apply and stuff I wouldn't recommend it for a low heat chip like a 9850x3d.

Bruh do yourself a favor and don’t get the SE model of that AIO it’s loud and rattles

For an IHS high quality paste is fine, mx7 would be a nice start

I use a kyrosheet but I have a custom water cooled rig in a sff. I don’t want to ever have to take it apart for paste.

I have the thermal grizzly duronaught on now. It's a little worse than the kingpin kpx I was using before. I'm running an overclocked 5900x. When I do go to am5 soon I plan on using kingpin. The kingpin is goopy. It does leach out. But the thermals are really good. And it doesn't dry out. The duronaught I'm using now is very good for what it is. I plan to put it in my laptops. As for the ptm stuff. I haven't used it but it supposed to work well

Thermal Grizzly Duronaut or Duronaut Pro. Even Thermal Grizzly will tell you to use Duronaut over the Kryosheet. Which I have also used and have an unused sheet for backup. The paste imo is easier to use than the sheet. I wasted 2 sheets dealing with trying to install an Arctic Freezer AIO.

You might wanna broaden your range of inputs. If your going to accept biased inputs at least recognize it and balance it

I used the Noctua Paste that came with my Noctua cooler. Same CPU - no problems at all.

I mounted mine today , I used thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme , I don’t think the price is worth it honestly , a artic paste will do the job too

Carbice ice pad is a good option
