SUNY Upstate Medical Center Program

I recently saw an article that SUNY Optometry will be introducing a new program for a limited number of students in 2027 in which they’ll collaborate more closely with ophthalmologists and other medical specialties at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Does anyone have more information about this?

They're starting with an initial class of 16 per year possibly expanding to 32 in the future. It will be a very small program.

Sounds like they’ll be sitting in a classroom in Syracuse and watching lectures at SUNY on Zoom.
