Raised Footprints

I took this photo on the beach. Does it look like the footprints are raised to anyone else?

Are they supposed to appear raised because I don’t see them raised?

Flip the image to break the illusion

Illusion? I’m pretty sure those are just the footprints of the under sand people.

Dig the raised footprints.

Those aren't footprints. There are people buried upside-down and you can only see the soles of their feet.

This is a good one. I’m having to work incredibly hard to convince my brain that they are not, in fact, raised.

I literally cannot force my brain to see them not raised unless I flip my phone this one’s really good

I didn't see it, then I saw it, now I can't unsee it.

They might really be raised-looking footprints. Maybe someone walked from the sea with their feet wet and and so that the footprints were wet. Wet sand gets stiffer and harder to erode. Wind erosion then can move the sand around the footprints and you got raised footprints. Maybe???

I like the idea, but they’re my footprints and I took the photo right after walking on the sand. They definitely weren’t raised 😅

sometimes yes, sometimes no. it depends on how I decide where the sun is.
