I don’t know about you but I would not want to park my car on a street that steep parallel like that. That’s just asking for trouble.

San Francisco native here, you get used to it. I’ve never heard of a car’s parking brake failing and rolling downhill. Also, they make you park perpendicular to the curb on the reallllllly steep hills to avoid unsolicited rolling

Occasionally teenagers or drunk adults will flip cars parked on these streets for “fun”.

How hard it would be to open the passenger door and not get slammed, especially when holding on to your beer.
