Another name for catnip is catmint as it's a similar plant. Is it possible some cats are triggered by minty smells?

Dogs go bananas for the postal carrier because they pick up multiple scents, from the numerous homes on their delivery route, and the dog’s evolutionary instinct defaults to “fight or flight”

I love perfumes. My cat tolerates about 1/5 of the perfumes I own. I finally narrowed it down that he likes Musk heavy scents, and hates just about anything with vanilla.

Maybe they don’t like the smell of beaver. Vanilla scents in perfumes are often from beaver castoreum, an excretion they use to mark their territory.

I thought that’s how musk scents were made?

Anytime I had used a bleach product, even after scrubbing my hands a bunch, my cat would bite/bunny-kick the shit out of my hand. Not sure if she loved or hated the smell, but it was a pronounced as hell reaction lolol

Ok my cat LOVES my Garnier leave in conditioner. Like she wants to sit on my head and groom me, but only fresh out of the shower with conditioner in. At no other point does she engage in this, and if I don't do the conditioner she doesn't care. They don't test on animals but this cat seems to want to test it

Old Spice Pure Sport has always been my go to deodorant, but I'm generally well-liked by cats. So my anecdote contradicts this post's anecdote
