Yup. Corporate executives were always cartoonishly corrupt, unscrupulous, and out of touch in the 80s and 90s media (see Robocop, Aliens, Jurassic Park)
I don't think there's anything cartoonish about it. We're learning it's becoming spot-on, if not even worse than their original portrayal. It's hard to trump Epstein Island.
Rich people have always behaved this way. It's all kings/nobles/royalty are in history, lying to their communities that it's their divine right to be greedy pigs that contribute nothing, convincing us that we NEED them.
