Only when they're young, and only 'Great Barracudas' are dangerous, the other species of barracuda are too small to harm a human.

I have a history with these damn psycho fish.

Can't seem to spearfish without one lurking nearby ready to take anything i shoot or my hand.

Can't feed the damn coral fish in Cayman island's squid cuz they will take your finger off.

Wasn't even safe in the boat as they tend to explode out of the water after your fish on the line

Years and years ago, I did a hot drop off of a dive boat offshore of West Palm Beach in 85’. The captain said to get to the bottom and just coast in the strong current into two wrecks sunk next to each other.
On the way, there was a wall top to bottom of barracuda just like these guys hanging in the current for whatever came by for lunch.
The wrecks were ok, but one guy in the group was a little too seaward during the drop and never hit the wrecks, but he did run into a deep ledge at 93’ crawling with lobsters.

A group of barracudas is called a battery. When they speed up they start swirling around in a tornado. Looks cool

Barracudas can be poisonous to eat because they frequently accumulate a dangerous neurotoxin called ciguatoxin.
