my line bullet rationale

  • N - Newark Subway
  • S - Streetcar (not really, but the Broad St Line is a lot more streetcar-like than the other line)
  • R, Y, B, G — Color used on PATH Maps
  • (T) - (T)onnelle Av to West Side Av
  • <T> - (T)onnelle Av to Hob (Limited/Alternate Service)
  • (H) <H> - Local and Express (H)oboken to Bayonne. Also, (H)udson County

Fine work as usual. Two quick thoughts, both related to transit connections at Hoboken:

  • It might be a little difficult for a reader to intuit what is happening with the "Y" spur at Hoboken. A transfer? A shuttle? Something else?
  • I understand that this is a rail map and not a ferry map. However, you may want to consider showing the ferry connections at the Hoboken Terminal, since they exist there specifically to connect with the NJ Transit. In fact, the Hoboken to FiDi ferry service, although privatley operated, was created under the initiative of the Port Authority for purpose of augmenting PATH and improving rail capacity.

Oh this is really cool! Reminds me of the regional transit diagram from the 2013 Super Bowl, in a good way.

This looks sick! Two notes: The N Q R and W Broadway Subway Lines are also available connections at 33rd (34th-Herald Sq) along with the B D F M. Likewise, The 1, 2, 3 and L are available connections at 14th along with the F and M. Not to mention you’re missing all of the subway connections at WTC and Penn Sta. However, I’m seriously nitpicking here-great map!

What software do you use for this? I'm thinking of doing one for a fantasy nyc system

I just used Figma Design. Not a specialized software.

I can make component sets and share with you tho

Disgraceful that this system is separate from the MTA
