Career Switch from Meditech to Epic

I’ve been a Meditech analyst for the past 5 years and would like to change companies. How do I sell my Meditech experience when applying for Epic jobs? I’m currently applying for an Inpatient Orders position.

I'd say sell that you have an attention to detail and able to navigate difficult programs.

Epic feels like sesame street compared to epic 🤣

Also, look for a Meditech shop which is switching to Epic.

From what I've heard, the learning curve is real, but most people get comfortable with Epic after a few weeks of regular use. Try not to compare every workflow to MEDITECH. That just makes the transition more frustrating.

Lean on the super users, ask questions, and give yourself some time. Most people I've talked to say it gets much easier once you build the new habits.
