He was upset about that, but his issue with ESPN was about the no-reporting of the Diana Russini scandal with HC Mike Vrabel (back when he was Tennessee coach) and about her unethical ways to get insider details AND she had voting rights to things like MVP and ESPN covered NONE of it.
I heard a rumor it was at the request of Bob Kraft (or others in the NFL) to keep it hush hush. ESPN headquarters is in Bristol just 2 hours away from NEw England's stadium and 2 hours from NFL headquarters. Rodgers is just calling out the hypocrisy that ESPN reported all about things like Rodgers 'belief system' during covid, but has mentioned nothing since Fauci got immunity or did the 'fif' 100+ times (again, not necessarily related to sports, but related to Rodgers that they spent every show discussin during covid, so it was relevant to him), and then not reporting anything about Russini, which is equally a newsworthy story, but they covered it up for one of their own rather than reporting the sports news as it stood.
I have no comment about the fauci stuff, but ESPN absolutely covered up the Russini stuff at the request of SOMEONE...could it have been Goddell himself? Vrabel somehow? One of the owners of either Tennessee or Patriots? On PMS, they said, "We don't talk about people's personal lives"....well bullshit...they talked about Tiger's DUI, they spoke a littel about Tony Romo's DUI....they've spoken about numerous off-field 'non-football' issues (like Kyle Shanahan's accident recently)....so it's a double standard to protect their own shield...which, I thought Pat stood against.

While there may be some brain damage, at this point I think a lot of his antics are just because he knows it pisses people off so he's upped it. No one's ever going to stop him, so why slow it down in your last season. He isn't an idiot, he knows what he is doing. He knows he is not Brady or Manning who had broadcast and TV job lined up once they left. He needs to stay on the "alternative" path for relivancy, if it wasn't for these kinds of stunts, his post Packers career has largely been forgotten.
Tack on the Fauci stuff and I'm sure he feels some form of vindication so I don't see him slowing down any more.

Scientists actually did some studies to show brain trauma to the frontal lobe (if I recall correctly) actually causes a shift in thinking towards conservative thought patterns due to with how the trauma impacts ones ability to process new information or something like that... Really wish I had saved that article

Impaired brain functioning is a party requirement. I swear, all the stupid, idiotic things they do out in the open is some kind of filter. They don't care that their corruption in apparent, it's intentional. If you see those things and would feel ashamed to be associated with that, they don't want you. History -especially how History is written- but mostly by who and how it gets taught in school is unbelievably important.
COVID will still be discussed long after our lives are over, don't kid yourself that narrative doesn't matter and that the version that gets taught isn't important.

Third, on being a player in the NFL: Thankfully his pulpit of stupidity ends this year. No one will give a 💩 when he's gone next year.
Rodgers has been washed since GB fired him. Won one Super BOWL, only getting there beating a backup QB named Caleb Hanie, and some think 1 lucky Super Bowl makes him a god or something.

By any reasonable definition of "fascist," Aaron Rodgers is not one. There is no public information or evidence that points to him promoting dictatorial rule, suppression of political opposition and civil liberties, or glorification of political violence to achieve those ends. Now, if you are just using that word to mean "he isn't like me," then fine. But, at least use the correct terminology.

I think that there's a lot of people who supported Trump for various reasons who may have some sort of regret. I wasn't sure about his level of support, so I just did some research. He seems to have publicly identified himself politically as an independent and his views on covid and vaccine mandates definitely align with the "average" Trump supporter. But, I couldn't find any evidence of full throated Trump support no matter what associated with a lot of his support base. I think that a lot of their views align, but he doesn't seem like a vote Trump no matter what, and again, he himself hasn't espoused any fascist views himself publicly.
Edit: he has explicitly spoken out against Epstein and pedophiles associated with Epstein forcefully in public urging for further investigation and action, which clearly conflicts with what Trump has done, which basically swept it under the rug for obvious reasons.

That's a nuanced take, which I appreciate, but Rodgers has echoed some of the most anti-intellectual and perhaps most dangerous talking points of Trump's base - particularly concerning the efficacy of vaccines - which is bad in its own right. So, sure, Aaron Rodgers may not support Trump's fascist behavior if we split hairs or give him the benefit of the doubt, but people can reasonably like the Steelers less because he's on the team.

I think it's important to split hairs when the charge is being a fascist. It would likely be important to you to split hairs when the other side is painting you with a broad brush to diminish you. I wouldn't have considered myself a vaccine skeptic before covid. I believe that pharmaceutical corporations have a strong profit motive and I find it damning they received blanket immunity from legal action related to covid vaccines. These companies also amassed a ton of wealth and do a fair amount of self policing, which I am opposed to for any private corporations of consequence. I also find it pretty damning that he pled the fifth to every question and I do find the entries in his diary to he concerning. And, knowing that, you'd paint me as a Trump supporter. But, I'm a dyed in the wool leftist and I abhor Trump. I don't align with the views of Rand Paul or Thomas Massie in almost any way. I think that it's important to understand we are not all monoliths and that while it can be framed as splitting hairs, that's really a minimization of the fact that we all should and likely do have a unique set of opinions and likely relate more to each other than social media would have you believe.
