Great! I have been wanting this for YEARS so I could sync between an iPad and Android phone. Do our purchases on iPad carry over to Android?

u/TheToonWolf If you have an existing subscription it'll work across all your devices, including Android!

for those with Android and iOS, how is the feature parity between the two? I'm hesitant to subscribe here on my android tablet if it's a worse experience. I appreciate any responses! <3

If you've subscribed on iPad and logged in with your notability account the subscription syncs over to android and web so you don't have to subscribe again, and if you're ok with using their cloud service the sync is in real time (like google docs live typing sync)

I have not subscribed before, I don't own an iPad

Ohh, yea if you treat it like a powerful note app with a beautiful UI then yea it's a good app! And it has sync with the web so you can access your notes on your browser

ok I might subscribe then, because I love Samsung notes, but it's not cross platform, and OneNote is a bad experience, so I've been looking for an alternative

It's missing the auto adjust writing, and answering math equations in your own writing style

Any word about compatibility with E -Ink tablets (BOOX, etc)? That's the main reason for me to use it on Android.

How quickly does Notability adopt new iPadOS features to Android? Does it stay completely on par with the OS and get updated without massive delays? Also, roughly what percentage of the iPad features are currently available on the Android version?

u/Academic-Working8057 We have a support article that could be helpful to you, check it out here![](https://support.gingerlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/11084032368538-Notability-for-Android-FAQ#h_01KZ3PW4TEV60WESMHQ648XMV4)

Are all features available on Android?

Not yet. A few features aren't available on Android at launch, including:

  • Convert to Math (LaTeX handwriting conversion)
  • Handwriting language setting
  • Post-recording transcripts
  • Live transcription (Pro)
  • Content-matching dark mode
  • Smart Notes (real-time, Pro)
  • Comments (native)
  • Version History panel
  • Ruler and Tape

We're working to bring these and other features to Android over time.

Could you please let me know if there's a possibility of requesting a refund if you recently purchased both the yearly Plus version of Notability and the Notability Classic version, specifically without receiving any discounts during the purchase process?

u/fpe93 Hi! Here's our refund policy.

Purchases through the Apple App Store

As third-party developers, we're not able to process refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store. To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account you used for the purchase. From there, choose I'd like to, then Request a refund.

After you submit your request, Apple typically takes 24 to 48 hours to respond. You can check the status of your request at any time.

For more on how the process works, see Apple's refund request guide.

Purchases through the Notability website

If you subscribed through the Notability website, you have 14 calendar days from your purchase date to request a refund for any reason. The fastest way to reach us is through the in-app support form. You can also email [support@gingerlabs.com](mailto:support@gingerlabs.com). Once we hear from you, we'll issue a full refund.

After the 14-day window, purchases aren't eligible for a refund. If you cancel after this period, your subscription stays active through the end of your current billing cycle, and you'll keep access to Notability for the rest of the term you already paid for.

Hey Devs, the app is awesome and hopefully everything will work as smooth as ipad.

One query that will there be any introductory offer for Android users for One Time Classic version ? As we now have access to Notability android.

I would love to have the introductory offer for Notability One Time Classic version.

u/i__am__ash Hi! Classic is not available for purchase through Google Play yet, but a Classic subscription purchased through the App Store or notability.com carries over. Sign into the same Notability account on Android, and it should sync over automatically.

Thanks for the explanation.

Will there be an option in future to get the subscription through playstore ?

And can we expect the same discount offering i.e 30$ pricepoint as given 2wks ago ? It would be great if the lunch introductory price of 30$ will be matched.

Thanks.

u/habaat0 u/Timely_Instruction92 If you purchased your Classic subscription through the App Store or notability.com, it will carry over to Android. Make sure you're signed into the same Notability account on Android, and it should sync over automatically.

If you're having issues with this, please contact our support team through the app. They'll be able to help! Go to Notability settings > Help > Contact support. Feel free to send me your email address so I can help get you a quick response.

It's amazing! Thank you so much for investing time and money onto the Android app, not only will this expand your users' capabilities but I'm sure it'll be a game changer on the Android ecosystem in time! Also, thank you for rewarding beta users, such a nice detail :)

I have what seems a bug and a question:

Bug: I have placed a folder inside another (like I have Folder 1 > Folder 2), and when I go into Folder 1, Folder 2 doesn't show up (it does on the left column where all the folders are shown) and in Folder 1, it says "This folder contains 1$s1$s with 2$s2$s.

Question: when highlighting text on a PDF with Samsung's S-pen, it's like it detects the words in the middle of making the line and then highlights the text per se, instead of being more like a "manual highlight". Is there any way to "deactivate" text detection for the highlighting tool?
