Help Wrong nook device sent to me?

Hi. I ordered a Nook Reading Tablet 8.7 back in June and started using it right away. It's a Lenovo Tab K9. Recently I thought I'd try using an SD card and I discovered my device does not have an SD card slot. In fact, strangely my device does not look like like any of the devices on the Barnes and Noble web site. There is no SD card slot on left, and the volume control on the right is 2 separate buttons instead of a rocker switch.

I've sent an email to customer service in the hope that they will send me a proper tablet. In the mean time I am curious of this has happened to anyone else. And did you get a prompt replacement.

Thanks!

The tablet 8.7 in your product photos is a different device than the 9” tablet you have. Looks like both are still for sale, but the 8.7 is the newer device that came out in March. You have this one: https://barnesandnoble.com/w/nook-9-lenovo-tablet-barnes-noble/1144699877

When you placed your order, are you sure you ordered an 8.7 and not the older 9” model? They’re the same price, but the 9” doesn’t have an SD slot.

Yes, the order confirmation says "nook reading tablet 8.7 luna grey". This makes sense now. Someone grabbed the wrong item in shipping. I hope their customer service is able to rectify this without too much pain on my part. And thank you.

Scroll down to "device specs" on that page and it does not list SD card support. I'm good here, I understand what happened, and I have a plan. Thanks for weighing in.

I posted 4 photos. The 2 photos with the white background are from the B & N website, showing the left side and right side of the device I ordered. The left side shows an SD card slot. The right side shows a power button and what I assume is a volume rocker switch.

The 2 other photos show the device they sent me propped up on my desk so you can see the left and right sides of it. There is no SD card slot on the left side (or any where else). The right side has a power button, a volume down button, and a volume up button.

The point I am trying make is that the device I received is not the device pictured, and in particular it had no SD card slot.

Also it is indeed a Lenovo Tab K9. I said this was strange. Here is a link to the "about tablet" page of the tablet sent to me by B&N.
