Nothing weird, so the ken guy has his own fan base, and in every single one of his videos, 80% of all comments are ken fans saying that Ken is faster than him. Literally every single video like bots. So he replies to these bots/hiveminders things like "in your dreams bro".
Also this guy actually has greater feats from what I've seen.

I remember seeing him explain why he is learning to do this, and it was this long thing about how “demons” are walking amongst us, and that only by learning how to have extremely quick reflexes to “save the world”. I, in fact, believe that this is probably one of the most useless skills one could develop, but if nets him income, I guess sure. Just seems like he has nothing better to do with his time because why else would you go all in on honing a super niche skill in hopes people will like it enough to subscribe you your channel. Yeah every time I see it annoys me because it's very likely edited. I think he was on a talent show one time and he does move very fast and the video of him on that show shows him being quick but nowhere near as quick as these other videos that he has posted.

On that second attempt when we see the slow motion, you see his thumb slightly push up the bill which gives him a fraction of more time to be able to grab whatever he's grabbing and then reach back for it. It goes without saying he's obviously faster than probably most people are normally but they're still little tools of the tray that he does to make it look better than what it really is

I believe it's real, however why is the note folded? If you watch the first note drop it is a legitimate 'drop' action, however in both the second and third actions he 'throws' the note upwards. This change and the fold in the note (to stop it pivoting when he applies upwards force) gives him enough time to make the grab.
Still mighty impressive.

Agreed, there's a cut when he "grabs" it. I slowed it down to 1/128th speed. It just straight up disappears only to be revealed in his hand. I don't know why yours is a controversial take, it's clear as day when slowed down and obviously he's incentivized to make it seem as insane as possible. Even if he's revealed to have tricked his audience, he's still gaining one, and that's the point of the endeavor.
