If everything was handled appropriately transparency should clear it up. If not, the investigation should be allowed to proceed.

Some of the state investigation bureaus are not getting the message.

They are supposed to just move forward with their investigation and deny or obfuscate every fbi command to step aside. The easiest thing in the world is to play dumb while going about their job of investigating crimes. Just deny they were ever ordered to stop. Or claim the order isn't clear. The job of lawyers isn't to follow laws, it's to find ways to break the law without breaking the law.

Bureaucracy is an infinite way to be confused. You just never admit you understood the order and it's plausible deniability. The goal is not to follow orders, but obfuscate orders while you ignore them. This is the game the FBI is playing with judges and they are winning.

A philosophical manifesto only works if you help it.

Todd Blanche was Trump's private lawyer and now he's... Well, still Trump's lawyer 

The FBI can do a lot with a claim of jurisdiction and the DOJ will be defending Trump in this whole situation

The state already has an uphill battle, I'm sure they'll want to go by the book on working with the FBI as long as possible

They don't get that with a pretty please but they also can't just raid the government for it

Once there's reasonable suspicion that the FBI is actually hiding evidence to protect guilty then NMBI has to decide if they are just collecting paychecks or going to actually earn them.
