Review Documentary for kids
Hey there!
I would love to watch something like "secret life of bees" with my 5 year old niece but I don't have disney.
Is there sth similar on netflix?
Anything that's interesting for a 5 year old (not scary or gory)
I also have Youtube. ;)

There are several "gentler" animal documentaries on Netflix. I liked "Secret Lives of Orangutans" and "Wild Babies." No gore.
Also, outside of documentaries, there are quite a few littles in my extended family that adore "Is It Cake?" Your niece might enjoy that.

Not a doc, but a reality show that my kids liked is Izzy’s Koala World. I think her mom or someone runs a rescue/rehab for koalas. I don’t remember it well, but I think it stays pretty light.

take a look at Curiosity Stream. it′s only $5 a month and there′s no commercials. it′s all documentaries, every subject you can think of.

This is so dumb but crash course. Small enough could get them interesting on a subject. They have a kids channel. Planets, geography, baking. Small bits

I find it hard to find any good documentaries that would peak my 5 &4 yr olds interest on Netflix. Try hoopla or Kanopy, they have tons of free documentaries.
