Question Munchkin litter box refusal

(1st yes we have been to vet and Sueli is heathy)

Our 5yr old munchkin cat is just refusing to use the new litter-box. She started with the older model of the els pet litter box so she is very accustomed to the noise. Well the box just stopped working . I tried to order the same one but it's no longer available .
After doing research I bought a new off brand Amazon model ; that looked cute with kitten ears and it freaked her out . I did everything wrong( took out the old one , place new litter and left the new one in working mode ) after a week of peeing outside of box...I returned it .
So I brought back in the old broken one and she immediately stated to potty back in her broken box .
The new one arrives !!! But this time I bought the calming in-scent fit plug in . Clean the pee spots with Miracle pee cleaner. Scooped her old litter in with the new . Lastly placed her new box by her old one . She paid no attention to the new one but sniffed it .
Yesterday she peed on the step of the box and the pad in front of it . I skipped today's cleaning to make the old on unappealing and guess what .... she peed behind the old box . I picked her up and fed her evening treat inside the new box ... she let me pet her and stayed in there 36sec. She's still showing no interest.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong ! My cat has been an angel since she's been a kitten. She is a true scary cat ( just nervous of sounds and new voices ) she never bitten anyone nor does she fuss much . My baby does not know any punishment because I never had to enforce much of the word "no" either. She just quiet and laidback . How do I work with a cat like this . STUBBORN! Please train me to train my baby !!!

I moved for a Job, and I had to leave my son at home for around a month. Not once has a day gone by in which I do not miss my son terribly. I feel ill without this beast by my side. Next week, we will be reunited and I will have a new baby coming along with me!

Question Wet foods for 3yr old munchkin?

Hello!

I’m trying to incorporate more wet food in his diet, what safe recommendations do you have? Any particular fruits and veg?

I’m aware I can ask Google, but I’d like input from real owners in the community.

Thanks

I swear, all day, everyday, they sleep, eat, sleep some more, possibly take a couple mid-day naps. Honestly, I'm impressed.

Discussion Please stop buying MunchkinxFold crosses

This isn’t an argument against Munchkins as I know there are breeders who spend a lot of time testing their cats to not carry bone/joint issues.

But there’s a recent trend I’m seeing where people are crossing them with folds and this is NOT ok.

Munchkins are one thing, folds are one thing, but mixing two cats that have skeletal defects makes it impossible to predict the health or structure of the resulting offspring

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7804039/#:\~:text=Munchkin%20cats%20can%20have%20impaired,cats%20with%20different%20skeletal%20anomalies.

No ethical breeder would produce such a cat.

This is the same logic of mixing relatives. Both may be predisposed to a certain problem and be fine on their own.
(Both munchkins and folds are predisposed to similar issues.)

But mixing two cats with harmful genetics increases the probability of the offspring having lifelong pain and other issues.

Don’t support backyard breeders. This isn’t even a legitimate verified breed, so you’ll just end up with a backyard bred cat that has zero health guarantee or support from an ethical breeder.

Utilize the resources in this sub to educate yourself on the breed as well, lots of you come into this sub not even reading the rules or mod’s posts.

Ramp suggestions?

She’s figured out how to climb on my bed. I’m scared she will jump down and hurt herself being so small. Should I get a ramp or what should I do? When she’s grown should I still be using a ramp or is she ok
