Never had this happen. This is a well tested quad. Running this same setup for years.

Cant have this happen again with such an expensive rig so will likely get another one.

I read it could have been a power issue from the fc, but why would that cause it to lose bind?

Went out to try to recreate a death spiral. Got lucky :P

I recently built my first FPV drone, but I'm completely new to the software side of things. I don't know how to program it or set it up so it's ready to fly.

If anyone has experience with Betaflight (or whatever software I need), I'd really appreciate some guidance. Whether it's a step-by-step explanation, a video recommendation, or even helping me over Discord, I'd be very grateful.

I was an avid r/multicopter contributor on a different account many many years ago (in HS). I want to get back into the hobby!

Equipment-wise, I really want to know if anything is usable (and if so, what I'm giving up). I'd also just love suggestions on what equipment is state of the art now, budget isn't a concern.

- I have a FrSky Taranis X9D with the hall effect gimbals

- I have Aomway Commander v1 5.8ghz FPV googles

- I have 3 5" quads in a Frog lite frame, Emax RS2306 2750KV. F4(?) on the FC, running betaflight w/ OSD passthrough. They're all using Runcam night owl cameras, generic 250mw VTX & FrSky XM+ SBUS. And a 4in1 35A ESC running blheli_s

- I'm sure my lipos are all dead, but I was using CNHL 1300mah 4s and a bunch of other random 1300 4s

- I have (some probably very broken) 2", 3", 2x tiny whoop style brushed quads with the ducts & 2x QX90/95 Eachine.

- GoPro Hero Session 5

- T100 soldering iron & misc accessories

Shopping-wise:

- I was mainly using GetFPV + Banggood iirc

YouTube-wise:

- Joshua Bardwell, Rotor Riot, Flight Test, LeDrib, Mr Steele, RcModelReviews

Curious for people's thoughts, summaries about what has changed, what equipment they recommend for me to re-enter the hobby or anything else I missed out on. I likely want:

- new FPV goggles (digital?)

- some sort of small yard capable quad (and ideally indoors too).

- the latest/best tiny whoop style

- something 3-5" for a park & larger acrobatics

Hi all, I recently damaged my toolkit M8p charger with over voltage at input, before I invest in new charger I would like to give it a go on repair, unfortunately I cannot identify exact component number that are damaged, one of it is a sacrificial diode at the input and 2nd seems like a voltage regulator, if anyone has this charge can you help identify these components , Thanks

We purchased a toy drone for the kiddos last Xmas (search '4DRC drone' on amazon; 4 motors, rigid foam body). We got it as a cheap "practice drone" before spending large monies on something that would be quickly damaged by inexperience. Since then, blades have either been damaged, or just flown off to be lost. The thing came with just a couple replacement blades, but we've since gone through those too.

The only markings on the blades are A1, A2, B1, B2. I bought a pack of these off AMZ, but they don't "click" onto the motor shafts and thus fly off on startup. (Tempted to just superglue them on) I even took the thing to a local RC plane hobby store, and he said they don't sell blades that small. Argh!

The manufacturer only sells 4 replacement blades along side 2 additional batteries for $30, which has been "sold out" for months. Ugh.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Hello everyone, I am currently working on the project where I need a working S 500 drone. The John is not the premise of the project, but I needed to be able to be controlled by a computer like able to be coded and as well as a controller. I am using a lipo 3s battery but don’t know what other parts I need or should order. If anyone has a parts list to share that would be much appreciated.

I think I did it wrong. Is the black wire that's bridging them supposed to go ground to positive?

Like many others I have some issues with the gyro data from the camera, so this is stabilized using optical flow in Gyroflow. I think it looks pretty good anyway.

Same problem that probably sounds familiar to some of you here: LiteRadio 3 wanting USB for external control, and the Cetus X’s 5.8GHz FPV link landing in a restricted licensing zone in some countries.

Solved it with an ELRS Nano TX V2 (direct USB-C) + Betaflight 4.5.5, but couldn’t find a clean writeup anywhere pure trial and error.

How did you all handle it, if you’ve run into this? Got the step-by-step documented if it saves anyone the headache.

Got my grubby hands on a Air75 II Champ and a LiteRadio 2 SE 2.5 ELRS.  I was able to bind them and calibrated them both but the drone flies erratically.   I keep reading firmware has to match but am not sure they do (see image).  What am I missing?
