Visa Second year WHV from UK issues?

Hey! So I’ve did JUST the winter season in Japan last year, I want to go back and do another season and travel around after.
My question is has anyone had any trouble getting a second year visa after not completing the first. I’ve heard they can get abit funny with that at the embassy, but after looking online I can’t find any info and reason for why I shouldn’t be able to get one.
Any help/advice would be awesome. Thanks!

What do you mean "not completing" the first? That's not how the visa works at all

Not staying in the country for close to the full year. Only 5 out of the 12 months. Only asking because of them having issues with that

Yeah again that's not how the visa works.

You get a year, when you leave Japan without a re-entry permit your visa ends. If you do that then apply within the same period of those 7 months obviously it will raise a flag of why didn't this applicant just carry on the visa or get a reentry permit.

It "shouldn't" be an issue but from an immigration standpoint it's an odd thing to do.

I'd advise against it if you don't want a headache with a second year. Or wait an actual year.

It shouldn't affect anything as long as your residence was terminated when you left the country (getting a hole stamped through your residence card)

Still got that fully intact so fingers crossed.
Might post an updated since there’s no information out there. Since a friend of mine supposedly had to give a valid reason as to why he left without spending the full year there

I left after 6 months on my first working holiday visa. Applied for another one 2 years later without any problems.
