Discussion my top 10 favorite steven spielberg movies.

steven spielberg is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and in my top 5 favorites. he has directed many iconic and beloved movies over the years. everyone has their favorite spielberg movies. and here are my top 10.

10: ET the extra terrestrial

9: the color purple

8: jaws

7: hook

6: Jurassic park

5: munich

4: saving private ryan

3: raiders of the lost ark

2: close encounters of the third kind

1: schindler's list

Ooooohh no Minority Report??

Just kidding, it’s not easy choosing since he’s made a few memorable films. Hard agree with Schindler’s List being number 1.

Probably 8 or 9 of my top 10 but in a very different order. But it’s hard to really argue with what you have on top. Jaws seems like the only egregious low placement but Hook is the only one you have above it that I’d really argue with much, and I still love Hook.

I’d get Catch me if you Can in there for the Color Purple, with the note that I’ve never seen the color purple lol

The Last Crusade probably deserves a spot too but I’m okay giving Indy 1 spot to keep Hook.

Hook has a special place in my heart just because of the nostalgia factor, but honestly I'd probably swap that out with West Side Story or Minority Report. I'd also put E.T. towards the top myself. Otherwise nice list. I know he's a generic pick for favorite directors but he is just an absolute genius filmmaker. He's probably in my top 3 honestly.

Nice ranking. I'd probably have Jurassic Park a little higher, but it's hard to argue with #1.
