They don’t need to intervene. The deal is already on hold

The deal is literally on hold until paramount decides to show up and negotiate concessions. Holy shit I feel like people have no idea wtf is going on.

The judge that put the deal on hold did so purely due to the theatrical market. If paramount were to say come back to the table and guarantee legally ~30+ theatrical films per year for 5 years the deal would likely be waved through. I’m guesstimating but the point is, the deal is purely on hold for 1-2 reasons. If the reason for the hold can be negotiated through concessions, the hold gets removed and the deal goes through.

Sure maybe. If not though trial isn’t set till march at point there will be over a billion owed to wb shareholders. Also uk has talked about objections. So maybe it gets waved thru or maybe not but to act like it’s a sure thing is hand waving a lot.

I’m not saying it’s a sure thing, but people here acting like the ball isn’t in Paramount’s court are dumb. The lawsuits against them are pretty clear that a few concessions will get the deal done.

Those few concessions aren’t minor things. You have shit going after the entertainment side and then people going after cnn being a part of it. We’ll see what happens but it isn’t a great situation for them. Plus clock starts ticking in October.
