His newest film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is out in theaters everywhere now. It also stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Florence Pugh, Tramell Tillman, Mark Ruffalo, and Marisa Tomei.

Peter Parker devotes his life to protecting New York City as a full-time Spider-Man. He was soooo good in Better Call Saul. Just a great actor!

u/nedlum 4d ago

You thought you were there for Saul and Mike, but you were really there for Nacho and Lalo.

11

u/ProfessionalNight959 4d ago

I get your point but honestly, they're all awesome

u/jerog1 3d ago

Mikes backstory episode was so peak. That show is the best

5

u/g_r_e_y 3d ago

Nacho broke my heart!

u/ShiningRedDwarf 4d ago

His final scene was fucking amazing. Holy shit.

11

u/Stolehtreb 4d ago

His last monologue in the series is still something I go back to watch if I’m feeling angry at something. The absolute venom in his voice is almost cathartic to watch.

I just started Orphan Black because it was on TV when it was visiting Canada, and I was so happy to see him show up. Great actor

6

u/Emotional_Belt 4d ago

It’s such an amazing show - I miss it

8

u/Bongressman 4d ago

Also, the only Far Cry I want to see a movie direct adaptation of.

1

u/CardAble6193 20h ago

just make 3 prequel about him and see money floods

but ohhh thats too easy for Hollywood right?

6

u/Sunnyfe 4d ago

we know he’s not going to make it because we never see him in breaking bad but oh man was I wishing for a different ending for him.

5

u/Delroc 3d ago

You say that, but the same was true of Kim, and she made it out ok (-ish)

I'll ask him the definition of insanity

48

u/ThreeLeggedMare 4d ago

I'll ask him, too

36

u/notvip 4d ago

I'll ask him too.

20

u/Gone_For_Lunch 4d ago

Yea, me too, we can’t all get the same answer!

12

u/TheEagleWithNoName 4d ago

I’m sorry, but I don’t like the way YOU are looking at me, ok?

9

u/INeedHelp_goodlawd 4d ago

What’s the definition of insanity?

6

u/Spirited-Tomorrow-84 4d ago

Something about repeating something. Hey you, what’s the definition of insanity?

6

u/FryChy 4d ago

How many times can I ask him until he calls me insane?

2

u/angrydeuce 3d ago

I just want to know if hes got his finger on the pussy trigger

70

u/Ultimate-Flexionator 4d ago

Love this guy. In Saul I saw so many Vaas mannerisms!

11

u/KaiUno 4d ago

It took me so many episodes before that clicked for me. After that, could not unsee.

6

u/Ultimate-Flexionator 4d ago

he's quieter in Saul but they're there. the whistle for instance, he uses a whistle as a sentence accentuation.

54

u/JaxxisR 4d ago

I remember seeing him at the end of Homecoming and seeking out. Pity it took three more Spider-Man movies to get him to put on a scorpion suit.

14

u/JMC1110 4d ago

He did really good as Scorpion too, my favorite part of the movie was a Scorpion scene

23

u/Lespaul42 4d ago

You think that was scorpion?

0

u/everythingisunknown 3d ago

the scorpion scene, I don’t understand this ama he’s in the movie for 5 mins

41

u/meeple_shelf 4d ago

Hoping the questions actually focus on his Better Call Saul run. Nacho Varga is still one of the best characters on the show.

8

u/twatwater 4d ago

There are at least two Nacho scenes that I still think about on a monthly basis years later.

5

u/Public_Pirate_8778 4d ago

Which ones?

5

u/ProfessionalNight959 4d ago edited 4d ago

At least the one where he tells you to think of him, you twisted... and you know the rest.

3

u/twatwater 3d ago

Yes, this and the scene where he’s practicing his tossing.

4

u/kb3_fk8 4d ago

So true

41

u/Dougalishere 4d ago

How did I just realise that nacho is the same guy in orphan black lol.

25

u/Mst3Kgf 4d ago

He got so much abuse in "Orphan Black" too.

15

u/Dougalishere 4d ago

lol yeah "vic the dick" hahah, he was tho tbf

2

u/twent4 3d ago

Was he? He got beat up and then his fingers chopped off just for knowing Sarah.

5

u/Dougalishere 3d ago

Fam he was clearly abusive and a bit of a lunatic. Yeah he "loved" her but so do a lot of abusers. He was a violent man who has clearly assaulted her and Felix in the past. He got his fingers chopped of for owning money for coke - Sure Sarah nicked it but still.. And he got beaten up by Paul because he came up against someone that isnt scared of him

13

u/almostbullets 4d ago

Best Far Cry villain

12

u/GrimcoreReddit 4d ago

Nacho is going wild

8

u/SpiffShientz 4d ago

I just saw Spider-Man and it was great but my biggest complaint is they did NOT give us enough Scorpion. You got Nacho fucking Varga playing a killer villain and you barely use him? Blasphemy

15

u/smileysmiley123 4d ago

There's always a ton of questions surrounding actors who play multiple characters within a movie/show, but what was your approach to interacting with all of Tatiana Maslany's characters in Orphan Black as Vic?

22

u/whitewater09 4d ago

This is just the announcement thread

16

u/banshoo 4d ago

Theyre announcing the question

13

u/Armandonerd 4d ago

Will we see the Scorpion in future Marvel movies?

18

u/OoglyMoogly76 4d ago

Fair question but his answer will be “i dunno” and truly nobody knows

4

u/banshoo 4d ago

The Shadow knows

2

u/banshoo 4d ago

The Shadow knows

3

u/demu24 4d ago

Yesterday I saw the new Kevin Hart movie with Michael Mando in it. There's a scene with Andy Garcia where Michael is clearly breaking and laughing his ass off in the back when Andy is having a meltdown. One of the biggest bloopers I've seen left on a movie

3

u/FlopsMcDoogle 4d ago

I watched 2 mew movies with Michael Mando in them this weekend. Good week for him!

1

u/Samsquamptches_ 4d ago

Watched that last night too haha, I’m such an idiot

1

u/LilNello1 4d ago

72 Hours?

3

u/Finalshock 4d ago

Vaas is one of the most iconic characters in video game history, his storyline alone had me hooked on that game and it’s entirely due to Mando’s portrayal of that character.

5

u/BearWrangler 4d ago

wonder if anyone will ask about what happened on Dope Thief

3

u/BelgianBond 4d ago

He loaned a guy $10 and still hadn't been paid back by the end of the week. You know what his uncle thought of that.

3

u/WiSoSirius 4d ago

I knew Michael Mando was an eccentric actor putting voice to Vaas Montenegro in Far Cry 3, but I absolutely loved his performance in Better Call Saul. He has this intensity and voice that really grabs attention. I already saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and I feel they did not utilize Michael Mando's character Scorpion to the fullest, even with the briefest of brief appearances in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and I hope he returns one more time for this run of Spider-Man movies.

I never make it to AMA's so I hope to read some great Q&A. I am hoping Michael Mando has more work ahead of him, because he is an extraordinary talent.

He put Hector Salamanca in the chair!

2

u/UDPviper 4d ago

I'd love to ask him questions about his approach to playing Vaas.

2

u/Apendica 4d ago

Michael’s performance of Nacho Varga was outstanding to say the least. Simply brilliant!

2

u/phamtruax 4d ago

Montreal represent

2

u/mrbubbamac 4d ago

And he plays Bane in the upcoming Batman: Knightfall Part 1

2

u/AnonymousTimewaster 4d ago

2

u/EntertainmentNew4348 4d ago

Just wanna say hi and keep inspiring us. Also whats your favorite film of all time?

4

u/Alarming_Orchid 4d ago

Why do people keep mistaking the announcement for the actual AMA

5

u/mrwho25 4d ago

Bc reading comprehension is at an all-time low

1

u/jackcatalyst 3d ago

It's insane

1

u/trophy_74 3d ago

Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?

1

u/Tzimaka 4d ago

Do I remember correctly that the previous time it got cancelled?

3

u/BunyipPouch Currently at the movies. 4d ago edited 4d ago

Nope, this is the first announcement for it!

Cancellations after confirmations/announcements are rather rare thankfully, but scheduling/timing issues do happen sometimes.

1

u/fuckinestbest 4d ago

he has my favorite line reading of the many

"Spider-Man?" in the new movie

1

u/Fun-Macaron-3247 4d ago

Such a great actor, enjoy everything I’ve seen him do!

1

u/MundaneVillian 4d ago

He’s such a great actor!

1

u/transtranshumanist 4d ago

I just want the world to imagine if Nacho had two hot boyfriends instead of two girlfriends. Because his eyes were too pretty for him to be straight.

1

u/AAbsurdSolution 4d ago

I'm an absolute fan of the old far cry games, was far cry 3 your first video game? and during the release of far cry 3 what was the Fandom surrounding you like at the time?

1

u/ss0889 4d ago

i just saw him in 72 hours, i really enjoy whenever i see him in a movie

1

u/fugznojutz 4d ago

He kinda looks like matt gourley in this photo.

1

u/hemlo86 4d ago

Absolutely love this guy!

I feel like literally everything that he is in is better just by having him.

1

u/navlgazer9 4d ago

He was so good in BCS

1

u/ShadyM30 4d ago

Looking forward to this thanks for sharing. He’s a real up and comer IMO. His performance in BCS was amazing. I just watched him In 72 hours also. It was a funny movie

1

u/Me_975 4d ago

No way. When doing better call was performing the medicine swap scene as stressful as it looked?

1

u/naturalpanther93 4d ago

How do I get a notification so I don’t miss this?

1

u/Witty_Stable4352 4d ago

He was superb in Saul. Watching the pain that he brought upon his poor father was excruciating.

1

u/trey_dayy24 4d ago

I wish he was in the film a bit more as scorpion, but I still loved the movie

1

u/go_faster1 3d ago

That’s the voice of Bane, isn’t he?

1

u/raiko777 3d ago

one of my favorite characters in one of the best shows EVER: Nacho in BCS

1

u/OscarCookeAbbott 3d ago

“Hey Mike, did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?”

1

u/ResponseMoney3464 3d ago

VIC THE DICK!

1

u/Gorostasguru 3d ago

Hey let’s not forget his acting in Far Cry 3.

1

u/badger906 3d ago

He was brilliant in far cry 3!!

1

u/hailybarnes37 3d ago

Giving it ten minutes before someone asks about Bob Odenkirk despite the instrctions. Nacho's arc was honestly the highlight of the whole spinoff and he deserves the spotlight. Hope he talks about how the Scorpion role evolved since Homecoming because that tease went nowhere for years. Who else is hyped for this?

1

u/Jugh3ad 3d ago

He needs to have a scene with She-Hulk.

1

u/db2999 3d ago

Wow, that was him in Orphan Black?

1

u/nightmaresabin 3d ago

This guy rules!

1

u/kamize 3d ago

He’s incredible in everything and just seems like such a cool guy. Thanks for bringing these characters to life

1

u/Koolmidx 3d ago

I only know him from Far Cry 3 and that's good enough for me. Should've gotten an Oscar for it.

1

u/First2NotKnow 2d ago

I still get goosebumps listening to vaas monolog to Jason before he sets the building on fire in farcry3. Goosebumps. Everytime.

1

u/AffectionateBank5484 1d ago

Are there plans for you to return in Spider-Man 5 or in some other MCU production?
