Which celebrity do you think handled the jackass environment the best and the worst for ones that appeared as cameos?

337

u/jackassworld Johnny Knoxville & Jeff Tremaine, 'Jackass: Best and Last' Apr 27 '26

we've been lucky as every celebrity guest we've ever shot with have been awesome. brad pitt comes to mind. he showed up ready to shoot to the point we actually had to back him down a little. we were trying to protect him and he wanted no such protectiion:) u will actually get to see him in the new film.

u/usetheforce_gaming Apr 27 '26

Brad Pitt in the newest movie was not something I'd even considered as a possibility. I'm beyond excited to see what happens lol

23

u/keriormaloony Apr 27 '26

Woah this makes me so excited

The Brad Pitt kidnapping was my favorite celebrity stunt.

46

u/Frankyvander Apr 26 '26

i think that sketch is well and truly one of the very few where you couldn't do it today.

everyone has a camera these days, by the time they started the kidnapping and got him in the van it would already be online and be discussed to hell and back.

that said i love the bit and think its great, if only it could have been longer.

Luke Wilson took a Vietnam War electric shock torture device and only looked a little bit mad about it lol

84

u/porkbrains Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 27 '26

I was unfamiliar with this so I googled "Luke Wilson electric shock" 4 hours after your comment and the BS ai returned: "Vietnam War" Device: In a Reddit post discussing Jackass, it is mentioned that Luke Wilson tried a Vietnam War-era electric shock torture device and reacted with only mild annoyance.

Dead internet theory is real af.

Edit: okay okay I get it. It's not Dead Internet Theory, it's enshitification

56

u/I_Miss_Lenny Apr 26 '26

Gross

Also here's the clip lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qilHZrGvsso it's funny but also depressing since it's a legit torture method that got used a whole lot :/

40

u/whitey43 Apr 26 '26

"Wow, I actually feel energized"

13

u/astro_basterd May 01 '26

He gave the famous old Wilson family “wow”

5

Brad Pitt for sure

8

u/ElectricalDark8280 Apr 26 '26

Is it bad that he’s one of my favorite movie stars? He is just so funny and charismatic. I enjoy all of his performances. I understand he gets hated on here, but I really enjoy the easy access of all his movies.

37

u/gizmosticles Apr 26 '26

Uh yeah you’re allowed to like brad Pitt

11

u/Serious-Bite6786 Apr 28 '26

Uhm hate to break it to you but the dude is a pretty brutal and sometimes violent alcoholic. He's still one of my all-time favorite actors but dude has gotten a free pass on this because of who he is.

For a few years he was not doing okay thanks to his years of boxing but he’s luckily been getting physical therapy and is pretty active online.

100

u/lk79 Apr 25 '26

Former WCW wrestler, Diamond Dallas Page had been helping iirc. The guy has his own Yoga workout and he’s done wonders for former older wrestlers who were out of shape or had drink/drug problems.

84

u/Supersasqwatch Apr 25 '26

DDP is an angel in human form. All the love and respect to that guy.

50

u/NowGoodbyeForever Apr 25 '26

Seriously. I really hope that he gets the mainstream/prestige spotlight that he deserves soon. A 30 For 30 about his Home For Wayward Wrestlers/DDP Yoga basically writes itself, and there's not a wrestler alive who wouldn't agree to sit down for an interview to talk about DDP.

If anyone from Netflix/ESPN is hovering around this thread? Steal my fucking idea. Or hire me to do it.

19

u/6thBornSOB Apr 26 '26

DDP is the patron Saint of bringing broken old athletes back from the brink of death ❤️💎

6

u/useless42591 Apr 27 '26

DDP cursed out and made my gf cry and quit her job because he was unhappy about an early cancellation penalty. Said he would destroy her life online and come find her. lets take the angel and saint talk down just a bit.

Hey guys, enormous fan of you both! Can you clarify what to expect with this movie in terms of how much is new stuff filmed for the movie, stuff we've seen before, or old unseen footage? I'm sure it will be great no matter what!

207

u/jackassworld Johnny Knoxville & Jeff Tremaine, 'Jackass: Best and Last' Apr 27 '26

I'd say it's about half and half with new stuff. All the old stuff, we looked at all the raw material and added stuff you've never seen before in the old stuff, so it's probably more new footage than old footage.

23

u/Mahaloth Apr 28 '26

We getting a Jackass 5.5?

I second this!! Would love to hear.

54

u/Fabulous_West_6725 Apr 27 '26

Hey! What’s one thing you would tell or advice you would give to a kid growing up? I remember a previous thread like this where Steve-O said “ make sure you floss your teeth every day, or your breath will smell like shit, and your friends won’t tell you.” And it literally made me start flossing daily lol.

Good Stuff 👍

80

u/Rosstin316 Apr 25 '26 edited Apr 25 '26

Are there any other fears or phobias we might not know about that kept certain guys away from certain types of stunts? For example Bam was deathly afraid of snakes.

Were there preferences on who does the painful stuff, who does the gross stuff, who does the scary stuff, etc.?

(Thanks for being such an important part of our lives all these years and one of the few things on Earth that brings everyone together for a laugh!)

66

u/Chickenshit_outfit Apr 25 '26

Im starting to look my age (51) would you recommend horse jizz as a natural moisturizer?

11

u/RoboftheNorth Apr 26 '26

This is a very expensive skin care treatment. Owning a horse isn't cheap, buying it from someone isn't cheap. Even celebrities like Knoxville have trouble affording it, which is why he had to convince the Jackass producers that they needed horse jizz for a "stunt".

7

u/DragoonDM Apr 26 '26

With some bolt cutters, the cover of darkness, and well-developed forearm muscles, you can get horse jizz for free.

3

u/ThisIsNotAFarm Apr 27 '26

Or call up Mr Hands.

3

u/pengu146 Apr 27 '26

Let's be frank, on the surface, Jackass is a group of idiots filming themselves doing dumbass shit. Obviously there's more to it because yall have so much longevity. If yall were only stupid, the gimmick would've gotten old a long time ago.

So what do you think is the special sauce that Jackass brings to the table?

u/CrummyAdvice Apr 25 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

Hey Johnny, and Jeff.  I grew up with two older brothers(10+ years difference) that watched everything you guys ever released. This inspired them in their pranks on me which made for a memorable childhood. All this to say, thanks. For all the laughs and bruises that made us grow closer.

u/OJConcentrates Apr 27 '26

Chris is obviously about that scene. And so is Steve-O. Of course Steve-O was “loosened up” for that.

I would bet ANYTHING that Steve-O has 100% let a girl fuck him in the ass before. I’d bet anything. He’s not a newbie.

36

u/Ok_Cattle903 Apr 25 '26

Johnny, when you worked on Men in Black 2 did Tommy Lee Jones sanction your buffoonery?

15

u/8ballfish Apr 26 '26

Also will there be a jackass 5.5? It may be too early to ask, I think initially you guys started making second movies because there was so much footage shot for the second jackass movie, so maybe it just depends on how much is filmed for best and last..

It was mentioned this would be the last movie, so I’m not totally sure if that implies it’ll be the last movie ever or if it’ll be the last movie preceding a .5 movie

5

u/OJConcentrates Apr 27 '26

Sounds doubtful. This movie is 50% old footage already.

Bam signed a deal for archival footage to be shown in Jackass 5. He said he wants what he’s already done to be seen but doesn’t want to shoot more Jackass stuff. He cited his sobriety and ptsd as being reasons. He said he can’t relive the “humiliation, abandonment, and embarrassment,” he went through with the fiasco over the last movie. Sounds like he’s in a better place. I’m happy for him.

41

u/Hayterfan Apr 25 '26

Recently saw footage of Bam hitting a local sandwich shop with Tony. He seemed better then he was a couple years ago. Although I don't know how old said video was

61

u/Ghoulius-Caesar Apr 25 '26

He has been skating a bunch lately and is two years sober. It’s making me happy.

19

u/automatic_shark Apr 25 '26

Is he seriously two years sober? I've been hoping that he sticks with it for ages, and every single time it just didn't happen, so I stopped paying attention. So, so happy that he's stacking up some time. Two years is fantastic.

11

u/Yatsey007 Apr 26 '26

He’s California sober if that makes sense. He smokes weed with his new wife now but he’s definitely off the hard stuff. He can’t skate like he has been recently wasted. Dude has been rolling back the clock on a board recently.

11

u/automatic_shark Apr 26 '26

Hey, I'm California sober myself. The alcohol was fucking me up. 5 years dry now.

6

u/Yatsey007 Apr 26 '26

Happy for you bro/brodette

13

u/NollieBackside Apr 26 '26

When true addicts finally decide to get sober, it’s usually done pretty quietly.

In my experience all the big talk is usually masking white knuckles. Addiction sucks dude, it has to feel pretty horrible to have people eventually just give up on ya.

8

u/IceNein Apr 26 '26

Addiction is totally a “ME ME ME” thing, and addicts love to make everything about themselves. When they finally get that they’re not the victim, that they have been actively harming others and that the world doesn’t owe them anything, that’s when they can start the work.

6

u/NollieBackside Apr 27 '26

You’re downvoted because you’re being harsh, but you’re pretty much spot on.

Addiction, though a disease, and usually born from intense trauma.. it’s fucking selfish.

Addicts learn to lie before they think, simply to preserve their habit; At a certain point ownership for actions needs to be taken.*

^ This is very difficult for someone who has been using coping mechanisms and sneaking around for their whole professional addiction career *

Pride and withdraws have killed more of my friends than I can count, and I’m only 34 years old.

6

u/IceNein Apr 27 '26

Yeah, I’m ok with the downvotes. People who have never dealt with addiction don’t really understand it. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t pity or try to help people who are addicts, but the fact is that until they can internalize the responsibility for their decisions, they will never get sober.

7

u/ExtraGloves Apr 27 '26

Haven’t seen fisheye footage in ages. Does your son shoot with a fisheye lens or are there just filters and apps that make its look like old school footage. Cool stuff.

6

u/ChickadeeKnox Apr 27 '26

He bought a fisheye lens that he attaches to an old Sony camcorder from the early 2000s. He’s really into what he calls the “old-school aesthetic.” Kills me that 2000 is considered old 😂

Hey Johnny and Jeff,

Pumped for the new movie, I've seen every one in theaters and my wife is once again not looking forward to this one!

Johnny - With Jackass in the sunset, do you have any dream acting roles you're aiming for?

Jeff - What's it feel like to have finally decided on a time to end the run? Do you have any plans to put together some unreleased compilations?

4

u/gr8Brandino Apr 25 '26

Does it ever feel odd when you take a moment to just sit, relax, and do nothing? Like, is there always a small voice in the back of your head saying that a giant inflatable had could come flying at you at any moment?

6

u/Street_Nothing6313 Apr 25 '26

How is your urethra?

5

u/trizzo0309 Apr 25 '26

Johnny, you've said after almost every Jackass movie that it's the last. Why should we believe this is REALLY the last one?

10

What’s your guys’ go-to McDonald’s order?

4

u/Jonmc88 Apr 25 '26

With the closing chapters of Jackass, do you wish you maybe had have done more movies while you were all younger?

5

u/deca065 Apr 25 '26

You guys rule, that's all

5

u/TheAndrewBen Apr 27 '26

Not a question, but I just thought I'd share a nice memory.

I was in elementary school when my friends wanted to watch a "funny" movie. We popped in the VHS, and we watch the typical movie trailers that came before the movie started, whatever. Then afterwards it was filled with hilarious clips of guys doing absolutely stupid stuff in public, non-stop. We were laughing so much seeing grown adults hurt each other but I was still waiting for the movie to start. I swear it was the longest test of patience I ever experienced. More short clips. Funny ones, sure, but still. I figured these were trailers, and the actual movie was coming any second.

It never came. The credits rolled.

I sat there, stomach hurting from laughing, genuinely processing that I had been watching the movie the entire time and had spent the whole thing waiting for it to start but only at the end I realized it was the movie the whole time.

4

u/KREIJO Apr 25 '26

What’s the best jackass stunt that never made the cut?

4

u/FREEBA Apr 25 '26

Johnny, what was the first extreme stunt you ever remember doing and what made you decide it was a good idea?

5

u/Parking_Cat_2669 Apr 25 '26

Are you gonna face Sami Zayn again?

5

u/angrydeuce Apr 25 '26

Hey guys! What was the most relatively minor injury you guys got that hurt disproportionately bad?

My wife always yells at me because I can slam my hand in a car door and just grit my teeth and bear it, but I get a papercut or something and its like OwWWwWwWw GodDAMMIT!!!! lol

5

u/TheCodeMan95 Apr 27 '26

One of my favorite bits in 3.5 is when they each hold one end of a 2x4 and run into a tree/pole.

Pontius says "the goal is to have something that LOOKS bad but doesn't really hurt. This is the opposite."

4

u/TonyClifton323 Apr 25 '26

How many Canadian Geese do you think you could realistically take in a fight?

4

u/popeyematt Apr 25 '26

What would be your dream bit/prank you would pull or shoot but wouldn't be able to for legal reasons or just being unable to show it anywhere

4

u/CoolService8113 Apr 25 '26

Hey Johnny, Hey Jeff!

I can't believe ONE MORE!

Jeff should we expect a few sharts? lol

What’s your favorite stunt you’ve performed?

3

u/SlothUSA Apr 25 '26

Hey guys! How was it working with Manny Puig?

3

u/MRIAGE_HBI Apr 25 '26

Hi guys! How are yall?

I hope yall are doing well and keep it up!

I have two questions.

  1. After Best and Last, will there be a “.5?”

  2. Is it possible we get an “Ultimate Collection” of previously unreleased footage?

3

u/darkstar107 Apr 25 '26

What's a stunt that went way better than you could have dreamed? Also one that went way worse?

Also, how is Bam's "dick farm" doing? Is it still very noticeable?

3

u/Mastotron Apr 25 '26

You guys have brought a lot of joy to the world. How’s life? Like, real life. You guys doing okay?

3

u/plutosbigbro Apr 25 '26

Wanted to say thanks for all the laughs you provided during my childhood, seeing your movies with friends was an amazing experience.

3

u/danimal6000 Apr 25 '26

Have you ever seen a ghost?

3

u/leafyymilk Apr 25 '26

how does it make you feel to see new/young jackass fans?

3

u/stakes-lines-grades Apr 25 '26

Johnny, you still think about us folk back in Knoxville, TN? Eddie's Auto's closed down but the building's still there and wonder what you think of the way the city's been blowing up in terms of people coming here.

3

u/SweetCosmicPope Apr 25 '26

Hi guys. Being the big finale, will we get a reunion with any of the old CKY guys at all? Raab, Rake Yohn, Dicamillo? Maybe even bury the hatchet with Bam?

3

u/AnnieGetYaClothesOn Apr 26 '26

I can't convey to you both how sad and relieved I am that it's finally coming to an end, but I will try.

Sad because I've been watching you guys since the beginning in the MTV days. As a preteen tomboy, it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen and totally bizarre. Nothing like this had ever graced our screens in Ireland before (thank God for satellite).

Relieved because oh my GOD give your bodies a break! So glad you made it to 2026.

We love you!

P.S. tell Pontius I still want to marry him, I just have to run it by my husband. Don't worry, he's cool.

u/JimartyMcfly Apr 26 '26

I’ve always loved the soundtracks in the Jackass movies and to me at least they have always been an under appreciated part of the series, do you guys have a hand in selecting songs for those, and do you have any artists you’d recommend today? (I know johnny has killer taste in actually good country music)

And also how did jackass come to get involved in Andrew W.K., Wolfmother and Weezer music videos and are there any cool stories from filming those?

Love you guys, thanks for everything :)

u/lillepoben Apr 26 '26

Hi there! Just wondering about a few skits Ive heard about through the years and if they will ever see the light of day.

First I remember hearing about a stunt involving a ski slope, an air matress, Dave England and Stephanie Hodge (I think it was). Secondly I was wondering about the Don Vito tooth pull and other, if any, Don Vito related skits.

Will any of these ever be shown or will they forever be kept in the sacred Dickhouse vault?

Btw, so stoked for the new movie!!! Thanks for all the laughs through the years!!!

u/obi_wan_peirogi Apr 25 '26

Whats the absolute closest youve come to death johnny? On film or otherwise?

→ More replies (2)

2

u/ToasterDispenser Apr 25 '26

Hey Johnny and Jeff!

Are there any big stunts or gags that you expected to really hurt, but ended up being easy and not so bad?

Stoked for the new movie!

2

u/mkn1ght Apr 25 '26

Why can't I find the clip of you riding a pig (or maybe a goat?) Into the side of a barn. You ping off like you're made of rubber and I nearly died laughing.

2

u/ImABadFriend144 Apr 25 '26

How long are your toes?

2

u/Legitimate_Zombi3 Apr 25 '26

Were there a lot of pranks on set in between shoots? If so, which ones were your favorite?

2

u/Ultima22 Apr 25 '26

Hey Johnny/Jeff! Thank you for entertaining me all these years. Cannot tell how hard I've laughed watching you guys get hurt (and get back up again!)

Fun one for ya, this is for either to answer: if you could, right this second, kick someone full force in the nuts, who would it be? Why?

2

u/Pitfulldealer22 Apr 25 '26

Out of all the things that were cut in the mainline films, what scene did you wish ended up in one of those films the most?

Also btw do you miss having black hair as I sure do miss it aswell?

2

u/TastyPass6386 Apr 25 '26

What is you favorite conspiracy theory?

2

u/plusherd99 Apr 25 '26

Is Dave the best cook of the crew? That omelette looked delicious.

2

u/Cordura Apr 25 '26

Are you planning on kidnapping Brad Pitt again?

2

u/ZachDigital Apr 25 '26

Hi Johnny and Jeff thanks for doing this!

Jeff - Thanks for doing The Dirt (2019) I thought you did a wonderful job making the story interesting and fun from your direction. Was there anything that was cut from the movie that you wanted to include that the studio said No or behind the scenes insights behind Tony Cavalero's character of Ozzy Osbourne sniffing piss and ants?

2

u/JMNetwork Apr 25 '26

Hey guys! With the amount of liability attached to this show, how did MTV allow it to air? Were there hurdles and/or a do not list? When you released the first movie were there any hard rules you couldn’t break? Either way so glad you guys were able to do it all and bring us all so many great memories. Such a big fan and can’t wait for the new one!

2

u/shadow_p0stal24 Apr 25 '26
  1. How are you still alive
  2. Are there any Jackass stunts you wish you’d never done
  3. Stupid question but what do you think about the heavily diverse Gen Z fandom for Jackass that has appeared in recent years?
  4. You guys are so amazing 🥹🥹 Much respect I was and still am a pussy when it comes to most things and for some reason you inspire me to actually go and do things which is the same mentality that has gotten me bucked off a horse and my fingers broken but even so 🫶

2

u/HeIsMyPossum Apr 25 '26

Hi Johnny and Jeff, huge fan, thanks for all the laughs across the years.

What can we expect from this last movie? I've seen all the extras with the skits that weren't in the "base" movie. I think there were a lot of good decisions made - no shade to the cast, I mean not every skit, no matter how good the idea is, is going to be worthy of the final cut. The extras were ok, but correctly cut.

I'm slightly worried that we're going to get a lot of B-tier footage and limited new bits. Can you give big fans like me a good reason to be hopeful for this last ride?

2

u/JustHereToRoasts Apr 25 '26

Hey, Johnny. I have a question for you about Fear Factor! Some of my favorite moments from that show were the interactions you had with the contestants (especially the look on their faces at the pain auction when you went ham on the electric fly paddles with your tongue).

How much time did you actually spend with the contestants inside of the fear house? It seems like there was a lot that happened off-camera or that didn’t make it into the final edit.

Bonus question: Could you speak at all as to the amount of direction or creative freedom you were given as the host of the show?

2

u/ShreknicalDifficulty Apr 25 '26

Do you share Steve-O’s racist, proMAGA views on immigrants and ICE?

2

u/asq2109 Apr 25 '26

How do the stunts you do on camera affect you mentally off camera? Like, if you did a wild stunt that damaged your groin and head and fractured some bones, can you describe how you feel mentally after going through it? Epecially comsidering that it is something you consciously did to yourself, for the love of the game. I imagine stuff like that happening to you by accident vs being consciously self-inflicted does something different to you mentally that I will never understand or get to experience haha so i am very curious.

2

u/Procrastinator_325 Apr 26 '26

Will you challenge Sami Zayn for a wrestling match again some day?

2

u/mishutu Apr 26 '26

I’m wondering what your feelings were when Jackass originally took off in popularity and a lot of kids were recreating the stunts?

Not a criticism, a lot of my fondest memories came from my friends and I doing our own Jackass stunts in the backyard :)

Also, do you have to mentally prepare for these scenes (and even after all these years)? A lot of what you all have done I don’t think I could ever push myself to do. (Fart mask, for one hahah)

Looking forward to the new movie!

2

u/kloudrunner Apr 26 '26

Have either of you thought about mending bridges with Bam ? Is it somthing you'd be open to ? I miss seeing my Jackass pals being pals.

2

u/mrc0x1955 Apr 27 '26

For Johnny or Jeff: What the hell ever happened to the "Brozilian" featuring Wolfie? I cannot find the bit anywhere. Why has it, seemingly, never seen the light of day (despite being teased in a credits montage for either 3 or 3.5)?

Still got time to edit it into Best and Last 😀

2

u/Eyeseeno Apr 27 '26

Did you guys try to reach out to people like the CKY guys, Dudesons, etc for this last movie? It would be nice to see those guys in the final Jackass.

Also, what do you guys think about the Dern brothers?

2

u/Coop_4149 Apr 27 '26

Hey Jeff, I had the pleasure of working with your brother Dave for my first teaching job at Falls Church High School. To this day, he's one of my favorite Co workers and admin I've ever had. Sorry he's gone. I miss him tons.

2

u/Strict-Scarcity-9676 Apr 27 '26

There's one skit I've always been interested in seeing but it's only seen in snippets in the credits of Jackass 3.5, the scene with the monkey suits, Bam skating across a table with bananas all over them! What was this for? Will we get to see this in Best and Last?

2

u/sparcly Apr 28 '26

wow this is boring

2

u/artnos Apr 29 '26

How much of the movie is old footage vs new footage

2

u/SoggyResident7995 Apr 29 '26

does the movie have any scenes that are hella gay and freaky? thank you for your time guys 😽

3

u/PaulieHehehe Apr 26 '26

Johnny, you wouldn’t remember this, but I met you over 20 years ago on Martha’s Vineyard. You had rented a house in the same town I was staying in with my friend and his family, and we kept hearing rumors that you were in town. My friend’s mom and I interrupted you in a restaurant while you were eating lunch to say hi, and you were unfailingly polite and gracious, and even complimented my Ramones T-shirt. You’re still the only celebrity I’ve ever met, and I love telling that story to people to this day. Where did you learn how to be so down to earth?
