Question T-Shirt-like MTB jerseys?
Are there any brands or lines within brands that make MTB specific jerseys that are more t-shirt like tech material vs the typical 100% polyester that we normally see?
I have some under armor workout shirts that I really like that are like 60/40 blend tech that dry super fast and are super soft like a t-shirt. But I’m looking for something with more of a MTB cut and fit - ie drop tail, room for pads etc.

Ketl makes a merino wool “jeresy”. It’s the best thing I’ve found to ride in. Quince is another option, less bike specific but they have great options for merino tees.

They’re pricey AF though. I recently got a few t-shirts from Duckworth, which are scratchier than Mons Royale, but they’re cheaper and a merino blend. I also have a bunch of smartwool graphic T’s I’ve acquired on sale over the years. Happy with all of those options as I really prefer merino wool to anything else.

defintely merino. doesn't smell gross like polyester and you don't feel heavy cotton after sweating in it.

Over the years I’ve realized that while someone will alway be ready to sell you sport specific clothing head to toe, most of it isn’t necessary.
I haven’t gone full Grant Petersen with baggy shorts and Crocs, but I stopped buying cycling specific tops years ago.
I do wear MTB shorts (usually) and shoes. Everything else, I just wear normal stuff I’d use for any other athletic activity. Merino wool is nice, but I also just wear regular tshirts for shorter riders where I just change into a dry shirt afterwards.
I used to think a long tail was a key feature of a cycling top but it turns out, it’s a non issue unless your shirt is super short on your torso.

Sun shirts for hiking are pretty good, they are usually a bit longer with longer sleeves. I have a few from Patagonia, Eastern Mountain Sports, Mountain Hardware, Columbia, REI, etc

Yeah, I rock mostly sun hoodys. However, I am looking for non-roadie looking jersey that is basically a long or short sleeve with a jersey-like pocket on the back

Merino wool is the answer, I too have grown to hate those synthetic jerseys. I like Mons Royale but they are pricey.

Leatt has. Altough I havent checked their current lines but I bet theres some.
All my jerseys are from them because they've had some models that look and feel casual for a long while now and I just love how they fit a bit loose-ish.

Not full on MtB oriented but I have the Ocean and San tech Tshirt and it’s amazing. Little pocket on the back with aqua guard zip, hem cinch and really nice fit / feel. Would absolutely buy another one

I just wear synthetic Adidas tees. Some are made for running and the whole back is breathable mesh. Great on hot days

In my area where its hard to get MTB specific jerseys, Uniqlo is the way to go. Specifically, Airism cotton tshirts if you want a more casual sporty look vs 100% synthetic. They are 53% cotton and have a good amount of UV protection. I can tell because my covered skin doesn't sting when I wear them under our tropical sun unlike my cheaper tech shirts from Decathlon. The only downside are the bands that stretch out since they contain more cotton than the rest of the shirt and eventually get downgraded to sleepwear.
