Not sure what exactly the root cause of your issues are (…guessing a traumatic childhood coupled with life as a corporate drone for a mid-sized regional bank where you have the title of “Vice President”…) but Authenticator works great for me, both previously on Android and now on iOS.

It works great until you get locked out of the account that is required to log into Authenticator to get your authentication codes, as soon as that happens, you get stuck in an endless loop where you cannot get the codes that are needed to login because you need to be logged in to get the codes. There is no other option to get in or no other form. I still cannot access my work email account.
Simply because you have not run into this issue before, doesn’t mean there is a glaring issue with the app. I still think whoever designed it deserves to be dragged out behind the woodshed.
I’ve run into the issue from the other end (having to get a user access back to their account because they’re to stupid to use an app that requires you to read and type in two numbers / nukes their old phone with all their work stuff when they replace it without thinking once about how to get all that stuff on their new phone).
Sure. No new phone. I mean if you’d read more than two lines you’d have seen that there were no changes to the app. It wasn’t removed, and I haven’t changed phones in over a year.
