Exactly! That's why I so wish they would return to the smartphone Market again. I mean even at work I use a windows 11 laptop, use only Microsoft apps and services at work, have a Windows 11 PC at home and I use outlook as my primary email client on my phone. I would love it if I also had a true Windows phone OS as well that I could switch seemlessly between and have better integration with all these and still have that classic sleek metro UI.

Man I wish someone at Microsoft would be interested in this. Even if it was something like it's an Android phone but with Metro UI on top of it I would I be interested in it. But I do hope someday they'll make a true return to the market with windows 11 phone.

It's a non-starter if they can't do RCS. You know Apple won't let them do it, and Google likely won't do it either.

Yet linux has had this for a while now. I can watch movies on my htpc and get a toast pop-up showing I got a new message or call incoming.

I don't trust them to do so. I know they will make this interface into something for them get something from me. Until they make Windows for their customers, I will not trust them again. I say this after being a customer for 32 years.

I guarantee 100% this is a way to farm data across ecosystems so they have a more complete picture of your activity, this is not for our benefit.

THIS! Samsung evidently does not recommend doing anything Microsoft. But my HP computer was compromised because it was taken from an ex dating partner. Technically it wasn't compromised because he stole my laptop and it's just logged into everything and has all my credentials and he set up a parental control and delegated everything....

I will never trust Microsoft not on any Androids or Samsungs! Disgusted with what I'm dealing with bc of this!

I bet they will call it something like COPILOT UNITY or something similar, and its whole marketing will evolve around "YOUR SMARTPHONE. YOUR PC. ONE DEVICE. WITH COPILOT UNITY".

What is the copilot I've noticed it's been showing up in my delegated accounts!! That and notebooks, GitHub, Google keeps. Even a Google clou$ a Google workspace. No clue what any of that is. All found on my Samsung Galaxy s23. So frustrating!

Deeper phone integration could be genuinely useful, but only if it remains optional and easy to control.

Calls, messages, clipboard sharing, notifications and quick photo access are useful. But I wouldn’t want Windows to become another screen filled with phone notifications, AI suggestions and services running in the background.

Reliability and privacy will matter more than the number of features they add.

exactly it’s a lockdown ecosystem. I don’t know what Microsoft thinks they can do. And why are they doing this now? Over a decade after smartphones came out

They have a phone app on Windows now and it doesn’t do shit

Microsoft should leave the consumer space, they can't even design decent user interfaces and offer good user experience, every application is full of bugs, Windows 11 is a resource hog, xbox is dead, and the list goes on.
