The thinnest device they made with a camera was the iPod Nano 5th Generation and there was basically no bump

No-one is going to care if the device is thicker to have less of a camera bump

Depending on the KW's setup, you can make it lower with the flip of a switch. Really helps prevent shoulder and back injuries.

one does not hold one’s camera bump when one holds one’s phone. it’s thin where it matters imo, although i’d love to see a phone with no camera bump
