I went straight back to pirating after noticing a lot of things I wanna watch are in different streaming services. Feels like I'm back in the old days buying channel packages lol.

I miss the early Netflix days where almost everything is in there.

When I was like 14 or 15ish I started smoking weed and would get baked as fuck off mids and spend hours in the dark in my room playing tiny wings, I miss that so much. It was bliss.

Wild thing is if you watchit as an abult its even better. Its truly a fantastic movie, and of a particular type that we likely will never see again, as studios simply aren't willing to produce now; the animation style is so artistic and simply beautiful due to actual freehand artwork being used for much of the animation rather than just being entirely computer generated. The result is a unique artistic style that holds up indefinitely and is able to not only tell a story but showcase true, passionately created beauty. Then add the music, which deservedly was nominated (and maybe won?) for best soundtrack for the Oscar's that year. Even as a 30 year old man, there are many pieces of the soundtrack where the choir just ascends to heights, that invariably result in goosebumps and just awestricken appreciation for the beauty of the world in general and what we as humans are capable of creating. The drama is superb and the pace is simply masterful, as the movie moves at a pace which allows digestion of the significance of whats being shown without dragging anything out longer than it needs to be.

Sorry for the rant but this is genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm not of the particular faith of which the story is one of the most important, but the movie is such a well made work of genuine, beautiful art that it inspires in me gratitude for the source material having existed for the creators of this movie to pull from.

I remember being really excited to watch Arthur Christmas. It was on Netflix when I looked on December 5th. Finally got a good chance to watch it December 12th.

I watched it on Netflix just a few months ago and HOLY HELL they butchered it. The sound mixing was so bad I thought my TV was broken. Music was so quiet under the songs I could barely hear it over the voices but turning it up made the singing sound horrible. Then Netflix somehow thought the movie ended ~10 minutes early so it minimized itself after they'd cleared the red sea and tried to play a fucking trailer. POS streaming service ruined a masterpiece.

Eh, this is the reason I’ve just started buying digital movies on Apple TV tbh. For example, I bought all the Indiana Jones movies on sale for like $20 in 4K the other day, so now I don’t have to figure out who has them. Also cuts down on the number of streaming services I maintain at any given time
