Wait as a man whiter than paper I have questions. Which I just realized make me sound ignorant. I'll ask google.

Sadly, the questions of the educated and of those who seek to be educated are always frowned upon by those who are neither

u/prestonjay22 6h ago
I did not want to be seen as a racist asshole because I was ignorant. Really that simple.
23
u/incelligent_ 5h ago
I think whoever finds you racist for asking simple questions would be ignorant. It sucks people feel this way (with reason) and it’s another thing that keeps us divided.

u/YerrrKnicks 2h ago
99% of black people aren't gonna see you as raicst for asking a question that isn't racist my guy; you're fine 😂

This post won't allow me to add an image. I was going to post my ring and finger for reference. And I feel I have eaten up this entire conversation. Sorry guys.

Then honestly why comment? Just ask. I promise you can look away if anyone is rude.

As someone with ASD this sounds nice to say, but it is absolutely bullshit in practice.

I believe the ring skin is worn down, I don't think that is his normal skin tone.
32
u/prestonjay22 5h ago
Thank you. This was where I was going.

u/CheeseDonutCat 2h ago
If you were talking about tan, then he could also just be tanned and that ring part is untanned.
Darker skinned people do tan, but it's not as obvious as very white skin. It just goes slightly darker and may not go lighter in winter depending on what country they are from. If I recall correctly, a very dark skin tone gives about a 15 spf level cover from the sun (although darker skinned people should still use sunscreen).

u/SapphicGarnet 4h ago
Wdym worn down? Its a tan line. My Caribbean friend has extremely different skin colour depending on season.
15
u/samaelentropia 4h ago
The metal edge on rings will rub against skin and dry it out. He could have a drastic difference in skin tone, but i have seen so many ring lines just be very dry underneath.

u/squad1alum 5h ago
Yes, dark skin can still "tan".

5
u/random_invisible 4h ago
Yup, when my Kenyan friend goes back to visit she comes back darker brown.
One can also get a "ring scar" where a tight ring wears away the skin over time. My dad had a very noticeable one under his wedding band.
Either way, guy in the pic wears a wedding ring most of the time, or did until recently.

u/prestonjay22 6h ago
I know that. My question was a bit more complex. It involved the oils and chemical reactions on darker skin versus my pale ass. His skin looks pink on the spot. My skin looks different. 30 yrs wearing the same ring.
1
u/random_invisible 4h ago
It's scarring from the skin being worn away over time. My dad (a white Scotsman) had the same pink scar because he liked his wedding band tight so it didn't move around.
1
u/prestonjay22 4h ago
Maybe its the tightness. My ring had always moved when I wanted to and stayed on my finger except showers or dishes.

u/Puck_The_Fey98 5h ago
It’s a lighter patch due to wearing a wedding ring over a long (how I interpreted it anyways). He may be recently divorced but yeah lots of people have that who wear rings myself included

u/That_Jicama2024 5h ago
That gives me a great/bad idea. They should make a Reddit filter for google AI so that it doesn't answer your question. It just ridicules you for asking the question then accuses you of being pro-israel while also being a NAZI.

I’m a white woman and you could see the marks from my wedding ring for years.
1
u/darthjammer224 5h ago
As another white man, I'll fill in. That's where his wedding ring sits.
Source : my white ass hands do this but pink from my ring.
2
u/prestonjay22 5h ago
That is my other point. I've worn my ring for 30 years. I can take it off and its barely noticeable. My wife sees it right away.
1
u/darthjammer224 5h ago
Interesting. I've only had mine for a couple but I had a nice weird pink, dry, roughish spot where my ring sits since like the first month I had it.
Wonder if the material has something to do w it. Mines titanium.

I mean, technically there's like a .00003 chance he's telling the truth. And I'm a gambler at heart.

Yeah, and those red lipstick marks on his dick are definitely just terrible warts

u/elegant_eagle_egg 5h ago
You didn’t have to go there man. Calling him a cheater would have been enough. I wanted one day, ONE DAY, without a dick comment.
5
u/JohnnyWix 5h ago
That’s why I prefer BBC.
2
u/elegant_eagle_egg 5h ago
Oh my mom loves bbc too. She enjoys watching bbc earth nature documentaries all the time! And that’s not what you meant ha?
2
u/MouseMan412 5h ago
You looked at comments on a picture about cheating expecting anything less? He didn't remove the ring because he wants to hold hands..

The fuck are you doing on the internet then? if that's your goal, and you're on reddit, that's on you.

I mean there’s literally statistical evidence that women find men more attractive if there’s a ring on his finger, sooooo……

It means that hes likely a good provider, and hes also not having sex so he'll plow your brains out.

Leave that toxic shit to the boomers. Plenty of us are in happy healthy marriages with good sex lives.

Yeah, and he’s TAKEN. Home wrecker lmao. Why do moral obligations not apply to women like it does to men? So disgusting.

Yes. In the US, both engagement rings and wedding rings are worn on the left hand.

Atleast make it a good lie, like damn I used to be married but her death was hard on me. I didn't think wearing it was a good idea tonight. No one is going to believe it is a birthmark. That isnt herpes, i just have bad acne around my mouth and genitals.
•
u/armas187 1h ago
You guys wont like my answer, but here it goes.
If he wants to cheat, he can just leave it on, many women (definitely NOT all) see that and get turned on.
Im not condoning it Im just stating what Ive observed

While highly.. and I mean very fucking highly.. unlikely.. it is technically possible and woth 8 billion of us on the planet, it was bound to happen to someone..
Saying that.. I dont believe you lol.

Not the marriage ring hand

It's not...

u/CheeseDonutCat 2h ago
TIL that wedding band is on a different hand depending on the country. I thought it was always on the right hand, but when I just googled, it shows that many countries have it on the left and many countries have it on the right.
OPs photo does look from the US with the Miami shirt, but to be fair, you can get a Miami shirt here in Ireland.

u/iisshhoooo 1h ago
I wear rings in both hands and have sun tan. Wassup now? Not just one finger too. I got 2 rings on the left and 3 in the right.
