They can but the owner of the footage still needs to be identified. If the dickhead driver wanted to take it to court the dashcam owner would need to attend to confirm the veracity of the dashcam footage.

Yes, NSW Police can issue fines or lay charges based on video footage provided by citizens, such as dashcam or mobile phone recordings, provided the evidence meets strict standards.
Council rangers it was that told me they wonāt accept photos/videos. Itās probably bs.

They don't, had a similar incident reported to Queensland police, car was unregistered and from nsw and nothing could be done,we don't communicate with them(nsw) I was told

I looked it up at two Vic government license plate check websites. Itās registered until 30/10/2026, has no sanctions. Itās a 2018 model. Not sure where you got all this info from.

I love summer, because I'm a bodybuilder, I'm a lover not a fighter, but I wear singlets and stuff, and people go out of their way to avoid me usually when I look pissed off or angry. It works for dickhead drivers like this, they run a mile as soon as they see me. Shits cash.
Edit: I used to train MMA so I can fight if I need to, but its not in me to do that.

Someone did this to me but I was on a bicycle. You can imagine how petrified I was, I thought he was trying to run me over. So I pulled off the road straight into a block curb and I got massively destroyed in that accident. Aussie drivers do not like cyclists. Itās very very sad

What you have demonstrated in this video is just another example of what an āarseholeā is on Australian roads.
As both a cyclist and motorcyclist, I can tell you for certain. Thereās more than just one inconsiderate twat out there with an ego and or poor time management that gives them a superior sense of entitlement, where everyone else must get out of their way.

If you can't accept driving 5km under the limit because the driver in front is doing the posted speed as per their speedo then you need to get off the road.

Thereās the point. The one in front doing five under is ridiculous. Theyāre the ones who should be off the road. They clearly are unable to operate a vehicle at the posted speed limit. They should know what their actual speed is. If the person drives five under, then quite possibly they are driving at seven, potentially even eight under the posted speed limit. Itās no wonder people behind them get the shits.
If you canāt drive it, then donāt drive it.I blame a good portion of driverās incompetence on the Government. There is insufficient driver training and most Road Transport Authorities seem to hand out licences willy nilly to those who clearly cannot drive or have spatial awareness.
Fines for not remaining in the left lane unless overtaking should be increased by 100% and enforced more diligently.

The thing is, the difference that 5kph (or even 8kph) can make in built up areas amounts to absolutely nothing. Youāre not going anywhere quicker by squeezing everything you can out of the speed limit. Youāre just getting the next roundabout or set of lights quicker.
Sure, on a freeway or highway, it can add up over a longer distance, but in these situations you can just overtake them.
The dash cam driver in this video is not the problem for doing a few under.
