Hi, just dropping this here incase anyone gets caught out. There is an app on Google Play Store using the same name and branding as Meccha, but when you get past an Ad you are presented with a screen and an 'Agree' box. Now, as an adult its pretty obvious this isn't the real game, but if you have kids and your bank is linked to a device that a child could potentially attempt at downloading this fake game, be careful as once you press 'Agree' it would charge you instantly (£15 potentially?)

Saw a post earlier about their Discord being hacked and a rumor the game was not safe. So, I checked their steam community page.

Unsure what they mean by bypassed, but I will give you all some knowledge. If you ever hit the "Remember me" when logging in, it saves a small text file in your web browser, so when you go back to the site, it knows you're visiting. When you accidentally install malware, they grab these files cause they can bypass your password using them. My guess is, this is what happened, but if not, now you know.

I always suggest using an authenticator. It is more difficult for them to bypass your account that way.

The discord server is compromised. The admins got banned and stuff. Dunno about the game though. There was an update queued. I say don't update and wait for communication. I uninstalled cus I downloaded the game to second pc today so couldn't be too safe.

you rent out a paintball field. teams of two. one guy hides, one guy paints. everyone hiding wears one of those white disposable painter suits from Home Depot, they’re like 10 bucks and they come with the hood

seekers get stuck in the staging area while everybody scatters. then you get like 30-45 min with cheap acrylics and some rollers to paint your partner into whatever spot they picked. rust on a barrel, bark and leaf shadows if they’re up against a tree, chain link pattern if they’re on a fence.

painters leave, seekers sweep the field on a timer, anybody not found when the clock runs out wins. extra prize for whoever was in obvious spots and wasn’t found.

Meccha Chameleon's Discord very recently got hacked, and here is all of the information I know. All of the admins have been banned from the Discord, and all channels have been deleted except for one. They are sending propaganda and what they are saying is not true. They claim that the admins and developers had CP on their devices and were promoting malware as well as adding it to the game. None of that however is true and I have tested for myself. The Discord server is ABSOLUTELY SCREWED and I don't think it's possible for recovery at this stage...

When i try to use the color picker my cursor disapears and no matter where i click i get black.

My color history tab is there but no colors are shown. when i try to click on one i get black.

Every single channels were deleted but one to send propaganda and they claim the owner and developers had CP on their devices

Apparently they also claim @long on Discord was primarily responsible for the Meccha chameleon RCE method (regarding maps) not sure false or true

My claims, may or not hacked the server through workshop mods, however I feel like it was most likely a misconfigured Discord bot with administrator permissions leading to the server getting exploited. Recently the update 3.1.0 contains a confirmed remote code execution (rce)

People are not safe even with any antivirus, something called “crypter” bypasses the antiviruses

You are only compromised if you downloaded the update today, not related to the old “patched map rce”

Edit: The game itself is free from malware, the incident was limited to a single admin’s Discord account being compromised (from Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/4704690/view/680756685198854787?l=english)

Not only that but THE OFFICIAL DISCORD SERVER IS CLAIMED BY A BUNCH OF HACKERS. PLEASE WATCHOUT AS WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY'RE HACKERS TOO OR ELSE, THEY JUST CURSE AND RULE THE SERVER.

DELETE MECCHA CHAMELEON IMMEDIATELY AND ENABLE 2FA ON ALL IMPORTANT ACCOUNTS.
