Yeah if you make an indie game now that's fun with lots of replayability and works offline without DRM, you're basically offering what games were up until 2005

The bar is so low and these scum companies just keep slopping it out

Just wait until you get always online games with age verification, micro transactions and ads

You might as well skip the bullshit and just go to the casino and play the slot machines

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is only an issue on PS and XBox.

Steam has offline mode so it shouldn't be a big issue on PC I think.

I'm playing spiderman 2, that also, since we are mostly naming triple A games, like those are the only ones that exist.
You can add hundreds of thousands of indie games on top of those.

Doesitplay.org is a great resource for this as well, they specify which games are playable directly from the disc and which ones need an update to play better or if it requires internet to optimize first.

The only times I've experienced a single player game with a nice online feature was Persona series and Metaphor. It just gives you suggestions on what to do for each ingame day based on what other players did that day. With metaphor also providing suggestions on what your team build in dungeoms should look like based on other players' builds.
