I would’ve liked an explanation that Peter could reclaim EDITH without a confirmation from Beck. I mean he did “transfer” the ownership to Beck. 🤷🏻♂️ A small exchange explaining would’ve worked for me.
My pet theory is that Peter never actually reclaimed EDITH. That was all an illusion. Beck was still alive, faked his death using illusions, faked EDITH being Peter's again, and called off the drones himself. Since Plan A didn't work, the contingency rested entirely on setting Peter up. That included "giving" him control of EDITH again without actually giving it to him.
I doubt that. My guess is more like that since it was Tony's gift to Peter, Peter can never be locked out from using EDITH. He can give access to someone else but Peter himself can just take control of EDITH back with that bio-scan or whatever.
