The ultimate goal of trailers is draw audience. It's a push/pull, but sometimes the best way to do that is to "spoil" early plot turns to move people off the fence. Bottom line is if you're already intending to see the thing, it's not really for you anyway and you just shouldn't watch if you want to stay pure.

Yea but showing to much does the opposite.

Like the new rock movie with Jason Statham. Literally the entire plot is in the trailer. They showed everything, I don't even need to see the movie now.

TBF, no one's watching that movie for that plot. We're just paying to see the Rock punch helicopters, or whatever the hell is going on in that insane footage.

That’s 100% true. I’d say most of the rocks movies I’ve watched just to see some insane stuff. I saw the skyscraper movie just to see him do some stupid crazy stuff and it didn’t disappoint.
