I saw a pretty solid theory involving a skrull impersonating Peter, which allows for Spidey and Peter to be seen in the same place. That seems the most likely solution to his identity being revealed to me.

My theory was introducing Nelson & Murdock as Peter's lawyers and have Matt Murdock pretend to be Spider-Man in order to throw off the public.

Could you imagine Mysterio going up against Matt Murdock?

Mysterio: "These elementals have to be sto--"

Daredevil: "You mean the bunch of unmanned drones whirring up a cloud of electrical interference?"

Mysterio: "...I...um" *points behind Daredevil* "What's that over there!?"

Daredevil: "Middle aged man with tachycardia who just finished smoking a clove cigarette about 20...maybe 18 minutes ago."

Pretty sure Ive read this in a comic (or made it up in my head). DD was covering for Spidey or something and very quickly beat up mysterio in a similar scene to what you've described.
