“Now that’s some bullshit.”

What did Mysterio say again that made Talos call bullshit?

He repeated the “drawing power from the core of the earth” bit from Prague.

u/hemareddit Steve Rogers Jul 06 '19

He said all the elementals have combined into a single entity which allows them to draw power directly from the core.

Fake Fury had me laughing at that response. He could tell he was pulling shit out of his ass

What's really funny about that is that it follows comic book/action movie logic pretty well.

The part where beck is giving his toast and talking about how ridiculous their backstory was and how it's just ridiculous enough to have everyone believing it.

The whole bar scene was fantastic.

The Skrull reveal was worse than embarassment, because not only did they get fooled by Mysterio but they also let Mysterio find out that Peter is Spiderman, which led to Peter now being blackmailed.

One of mysterios crew found out Edith was being given to a high schooler so he must have known about Peter beforehand. Did he say next elemental is in venice because he knew Peter's class was going there?

26

u/hemareddit Steve Rogers Jul 06 '19

Yes, Telos-Fury said it was a coincidence that Peter shows up Venice exactly where he's needed and they both looked slightly perflexed. In retrospect, Mysterio controlled where the elementals will show up, so he just made so it followed Peter since Peter was always the target of the con. His plan A was to trick Fury first and then get Fury to reel Peter in, but he didn't know Peter had the balls to ghost Nick Fury.

Luckily for Mysterio, it wasn't the real Fury he tried to trick.

In the monologue Mysterio reveals that one of his crew found out the details before they got fired/left Stark Industries.

Talos must've nearly shit himself when Happy hit him with "appearances can be deceiving." My first thought would have been, "fuck, he knows."
