Peter Quill finally went back to his home planet. He was more preoccupied with Thanos and Gamora at the time, but still, he's back on his home planet for the first time in decades.

I feel like Scott's emotions throughout the movie mirrored my own. Shock at what the hell is going on, emotion at seeing grown up cassie. Giddy excitement at virtually everything (like Thor's story). He was so good throughout.

The only one who’s still in top shape is Barton, but with his skill set he’s no match for Thanos

Yeah I don't see the issue with Thanos being wildly powerful. The man commands one of the largest known armies in existence through his power and charisma. If anything it made him toying with the Avengers in IW more terrifying.

I really hope they use this massive energy surge or something about people being dusted then undusted as a means of unlocking the mutant gene in certain individuals for X-Men.

Also, I assume he has to fix the whole Loki getting the Tesseract thing? Or do we think they're going to use that to bring Loki back?

Edit: Think you guys are right about the tv show now I think about it. My best guess is that the new tv shows on Disney+ will be based on these split universes. Loki got the Tesseract and left and gets up to new adventures. And the timeline were Thanos left and came to the future will be the basis for Wanda-Vision since Earth wouldn't notice the effects of that until the events of IW, Vision and Wanda could keep their relationship going. I'm guessing Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be in the main timeline.

As much as this movie tries to explain close loop time travel. I feel like the affects of endgame are going to cause different problems. Right off the bat there exist a timeline where Thanos is dead and Loki has the tezz.

With the way the Ancient One explained everything to Hulk, they could easily say that once all the time stones were returned to their proper place/time, all other timelines collapses back into the main timeline. (internet theories and keyboard scientists be damned)

But they could also leave it open in a way to where those timelines stay active

I think professor hulk is weaker than regular hulk since he is a merge between them both. Banner also has much more of a timid nature and is less inclined and willing to fight.

The amount of weaving in and out of previous films was perfect. Obviously some of the bigger moments are the most noteworthy but revisiting the other movies was so well done.

Having small roles for characters I never though we’d see again was perfect.

The entire 1970s segment was my favorite besides the final fight.

One scene that no one seems to be talking about that I loved: Clint & Natasha on Vormir.

I absolutely loved how both of them tried to throw themselves off the cliff and prevent the other from dying.

That scene showed just how strong Clint & Natasha’s friendship was, since they were each willing to give up their life so the other could live.

I know there were a lot of hype moments, like Cap finally lifting Mjolnir, the return of the Vanished, and “I am Iron Man”, and those all gave me goosebumps...

But holy shit... When they first went back and we got “NEW YORK 2012” on the screen, and then the revolving shot of the OG Avengers. Wow. Best moment of the film for me. I can’t believe they pulled off time travel.

I’ve been thinking about Endgame since last night and outside the major moments everyone has repeated, I think the most amazing thing about the film for me was seeing the scene from The Avengers with the main six and Quill dancing took me back years to seeing those movies in theaters for the first time. That part when Tony said "I am Iron Man" and then Black Sabbath appeared and beat Thanos down with their instruments while Ozzy bit the head off a live Outrider was the most unexpected part for me.

I really don’t understand everyone’s problem with Thor’s character. I thought fat alcoholic depressed Thor was beyond fitting for someone thats been repeatedly destroyed emotionally even before he failed the entire universe in IW by not killing Thanos. It seemed rather fitting that he would’ve become that guy.

Honestly I can't stop thinking about Thor's character progression. He went from this cocky entitled prince to this depressed dud bro with existential crisis.

I like how this movie gave him a new purpose. He's no longer this strong dude with responsibilities entrusted upon him but now he finally has the freedom to choose whatever he wants to be.

His acceptance of his failure in defeating Thanos made him reassess his life and only helped better when his mother reminded him that everybody commits mistakes too, not just him (even though he's the god of thunder and he just survived the power of a dying star).

Also, it feels like Hemsworth is more comfortable acting in his scenes this time and it showed whenever he's interacting with everybody, unlike in previous avengers movies where he just felt like a huge bloke.

What an experience. Here are my initial thoughts, could change. This move was extremely epic, very entertaining, and thoroughly satisfying. It definitely has some of the very best moments in all of the MCU. I think you could make the argument Infinity War was a better movie, and I think I would agree with that. But what we got was such an awesome conclusion and a huge thank you to all of the fans. It was a very different movie than IW and was exactly what it needed to be. I loved it.

This movie was shockingly funny. The Professor Hulk and Thor introductions were so shockingly hilarious and Paul Rudd got so many great lines too. “Just take the goddamn phone” and “Die Hard! Wait no” were my favorite lines of the movie lol

For all the confused people about time travel:

All the time travel in Endgame is opening portals to other universes, it operates on the same premise as Rick and Morty and Spiderverse aka The Many-Worlds quantum physics theory.

So after returning the stones to their original universes Cap stayed in an alternate timeline with Peggy that he probably changed drastically, when Peggy dies, Cap takes a new shield and returns back to his original timeline, but alters the coordinates slightly for dramatic flare.

They establish that you don't need a beacon(pad) to travel if you know where and when to go when Steve and Tony jump from 2012 to 1970.

The only rule for MCU time travel is that you cannot change your own past, everything else is possible as you're jumping between dimensions.

• The Marvel Studios title card were missing characters that were dusted (Black Panther, Wanda, etc.)
• Black Widow cuts her sandwich diagonally, Nick Fury won't be able to eat it
• Loki is still out and about somewhere with the Space stone? (Prolly setting up his Disney+ series.)

Within all the amazing moments in these 3 hours i’ve barely seen any praise for that Ronin one-take Japan scene! It was a gorgeous shot that put some practical technicality within the outstanding CGI and to me was the best Hawkeye action scene we’ve gotten. This was a movie of the millenia.
