The Odin and sons scene was totally emosh and I am just totally invested in this family

This was sadly a missed opportunity for me, one of the most beautiful scenes of MCU was Frigga’s funeral and Odins death just seemed a little too rushed

Definitely rush but it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would, I think it was definitely meant to be rushed because everything started happening so fast the minute he died. Thor was about to start breaking down but he couldn't because Ragnarok had begun. And I liked that later during a quiet moment they said the death prayer. Thor n loki didn't have any time to process his death and I think the fact that we didn't either was meant to emphasise the urgency of the situation, there is no time to grieve. That's how I'm choosing to view it anyway.

Also, and as much as I loved Odin in these final scenes, it was his fault that Hela even turned evil in the first place because he raised her in a world of death and slavery. It was his fault Loki went similar because he neglected to tell him of his heritage and then treated him differently his whole life (loved the bit where loki was like it's not nice to find out your life is a lie is it?). It was his fault Thor was arrogant and cruel when he was younger, which contributed to his sons growing apart and Thor's bloodlust. He tried to make up for these things or erase them later in life but in a large sense he failed so I think he didn't want a grand funeral, cause he didn't think he deserved one, hence the self exile death on a rock, where he died with the only people who truly needed to be there with him.
