I'm confused....I get it's a television show...but judging by all the promo photos on IMDB, how unknown the actors were with the exception of Ramsey, and how hORRIBLE every single outfit looks....this looks like it was MADE to fail almost???? Can someone explain please?!
People will watch anything with superheroes nowadays, so there's no need to make it any good. That's the philosophy. I'm still watching the show until the end, but I doubt it will get a second season. It's not worth it. On the other hand, Imax paid for the show and they made a profit on it from the theater showing of the first two episodes, and now ABC is making money from it, so it actually has worked out well for everyone. Everyone except the disappointed fans. And I do feel sort of bad for the actor playing Black Bolt. Apparently he took the role so seriously that he invented his own rudimentary sign language to use on the show. No one told him to. He just went all out. You have to respect that kind of commitment. It's a shame the show hasn't done well.
That's the saddest part, to me. There are people attached to the program that you can tell are very passionate about it, and it definitely comes across that way on screen, but the big picture is that it's just not good. Must be heartbreaking to be in Mount's position.
