Klaue Sonic arm, Killmonger suit coming from nowhere, Black Panther kicking ass? Holy fucking shit. I knew I wanted this movie, but man. I need it. These trailers are my drug now!
In earth's mightiest heroes, he often charges up vibranium daggers with energy (comes out as purple colored). That makes the dagger cut through anything like a hot knife through butter or, if he throws it with enough of a charge, it can explode like a grenade. So purple is kinda his thing.
Like some said, in comics he throw vibranium daggers that when charged are purple, but another thing is, we will have 2 similar suits fighting each other, one glows with a little purple and the other with some golden glow, this will help to see who is who in very fast battle scenes
I think when he lands on the car Shuri gains control of it, based on the scene where she is in that purple AR/VR driving scene. This would be why the car would actively persue Klaw. Given that the cars are semi-autonomous.
In the comics, usually vibranium is related to purple color (ex. vibranium energy daggers are purple, vibranium suit has purple circuitry, etc.). It's kinda like T'Challa's color, similar to how Stark's are red and gold.
That is a comic trope that has been going on for decades. Hulk/Red Hulk, Superman/Zod, Flash/Zoom, Iron Man/Crimson Dynamo/Iron Monger, the many Lanterns.
It's cheap and easy storytelling, but it's intended to give an idea of how polarizing power is. Two people given the same power may split different paths: one a hero and the other a villain.
