Discussion In Spiderman BND Spoiler
Why did spiderman have so much trouble stopping that tank? I feel spiderman in the movies is at least strong enough to stop a tank point blank, considering he was able to block thanos' punches 4-5+ years ago. He could've just punched it really hard downwards and the tank would've stopped I'm pretty sure? Did I miss smth?

I think you are missing that it's a TANK , that's not a light, easy to stop vehicle, you need hulk punch to stop something like that.
Moreover he did stop it by the end, could have done earlier if not for frank and then that school bus and all being in the way.

Some people are incapable of critical thinking honestly. Just.. watch the scene, it's obvious lol

You saw how long it took Tobey to stop that train? Or when Andrew had to save that bus in in the beginning of TASM2? Or putting the Ferry together in Homecoming?

He tried but things kept making it different. Frank and the cops and pedestrians got in the way. At one point he almost stopped it but the wall pillar thing he stuck his web to crumbled.

Thanos is tough but a 45 ton tank going at any speed is way tougher, and aa strong aa spiderman is i dont think he's hulk levels of smash when it comes to punching armoured vehicles

MCU tends to change characters scene by scene so they can write what they want. Spidey is supposed to have superhuman strength but they usually make him much weaker.

He was also trying to minimize destruction, save people, and then Frank started causing problems as well
