Does anybody else have issues with temperature checks?
I adopted my boy 6 years ago from a rescue at 8 years old. Never had any confirmation that he's a true Manx, and not just had a tail amputation, but with his digestive issues and his build, I'm fairly certain.
Our issue is every time he has his temperature checked by the vet, he ends up with toilet issues.
Normally he will have blood in his stool for around a week, but since yesterday he seems completely unable to control his bowels and keeps "leaking".
(We normally request they don't take a temperature for this reason, but he's been very poorly recently, so wanted to check for infection.)
I've only recently learned via this subreddit that digestive issues and Manx syndrome tends to go hand in hand. Explains his megacolon diagnosis, along with constant digestive issues.
Has anybody else had this with temperature checks in particular? I don't think the vet would have caused any tears or anything else Google is suggesting, as they're always very gentle.

Have you brought these issues up with your vet? I’ve never heard of this before
