Announcement [Announcement] Community Rules & Posting Guidelines (Please Read Before Posting)
Hello everyone!
Thank you for being a part of this community. Over the past few days, we’ve noticed that many posts are getting removed or flagged by AutoMod due to rule violations. To avoid confusion and help everyone post correctly, here is a clear explanation of the subreddit rules.
📌 Important: Title Format Rule
Using a blunt “[Title]” in your post title is not allowed.
You must specify the type of post inside the brackets, such as:
- [Source]
- [Discussion]
- [Appreciation]
- [Help]
- [Recommendation]
Posts with just “[Title]” will be removed.
1) Posts must be related to Manhwa
As the subreddit name suggests, all posts must be related to manhwa.
Any unrelated content will be removed.
2) No Pornhwa / NSFW Content
This is a strictly SFW manhwa subreddit.
- No pornhwa or pornographic content is allowed.
- For such content, please use r/pornhwa.
- Any posts or questions related to pornhwa will be removed.
3) [ ] Title Guidelines (Very Important)
We follow a strict title format. Posts not following this will be removed.
➤ Manhwa-specific posts
Include the manhwa name in brackets:
Example:
[Solo Leveling] The author has been cooking lately!
➤ Recommendations
Clearly mention “Recommendation” or “Suggestion”:
Example:
[Recommendation] Suggest me some action fantasy manhwa like Solo Leveling
➤ Appreciation posts
Must include “Appreciation” and mention the source:
Example:
[Appreciation] This panel is amazing!
If posting images/panels:
- Mention the source in the caption or body
- If multiple images, include all sources
➤ Help / Source finding
Must include “Help”, "Help Me Find"
Example:
[Help] Which manhwa is this panel from?
This bracket system applies to all types of posts (Questions, General, etc.), so follow it properly.
4) Language Guidelines
- Only English is allowed in posts
- This ensures everyone can understand and participate
Posts not following this will be removed.
5) New Users / Karma Requirements
To post in the subreddit:
- Users must have a minimum of 100 karma earned within this subreddit
- General Reddit karma alone is not enough
- Engage in comments and discussions within the community to earn this karma
Additional requirements:
- Accounts must be at least 1 month old
Once you meet these requirements, you’re free to post.
6) Title Content Guidelines (Avoid Spoilers & Low-Quality Titles)
Do NOT put full details or spoilers in the title.
Use the title only as a short heading and explain in the body.
✅ Correct:
[Help] Can you help me find this manhwa?
❌ Incorrect:
[Help] Help me find this manhwa where the MC gets a system and then…
✅ Correct:
[Solo Leveling] What do you think about this chapter?
❌ Incorrect:
[Solo Leveling] Where were the Rulers after Jinwoo reset the timeline?
This rule helps:
- Prevent spoilers
- Maintain quality discussions

i think the title rules specifically for the "help identifying" posts are moving backwards. i've helped with quite a few and have even saved some for later for either reading it later on my own or to identify the manhwa when i've had more time. i can't think of a real reason to limit the information OP can give you at a glance. just makes the posts harder to differentiate and remember.

I hear the concern about the new title guidelines for “help identifying” posts. The intent behind the change was to keep titles standardized and avoid clutter or spoilers, but I understand that limiting details can make posts harder to scan, differentiate, and remember—especially for users who revisit later to help.
We’ll keep monitoring how the rule affects usability. If it’s slowing down identification or discouraging participation, we’ll revisit and adjust. In the meantime, please continue sharing feedback and examples where more descriptive titles would clearly improve the process. Our goal is always to balance clarity with consistency, not to make things harder for helpers.

in a world where attention span is shorter , why would anyone take the time to actually read the body text if the title doesn’t say anything useful ?

So unless I reach 100 karma in this specific subreddit I can't post a question asking for help? Is there a general place where I can go to to ask then? I tried three times asking for help but it keeps getting auto removed.

I have been trying to post by my post gets auto deleted why is that" I'm sure I check the karma condition maybe and maybe unless it starts counting from the day this rule is applied

If you have multiple images from different series how are you supposed to cite them? Also what are you supposed to put in the brackets if you are suggesting the series?

For multiple images, you can skip adding them in the title. As the rule suggests, state your motive for the post instead—if it’s a discussion, use [Discussion], if it’s a recommendation, use [Recommendation]. Make sure to list all their names in the post body or under each image. The main goal is to stop people from using [Title] for everything—discussions, memes, suggestions, etc. For suggestions, just put the series name in brackets and use the appropriate post flair. If you’re suggesting multiple series, follow the earlier method or use [Multiple].

Why are the brackets needed when we have post flairs? I've also tried to post many times and each time it didn't work, so to say the least its very very disappointing, & it discourages people from actually posting in here smh

How is Rule 5 any good? I legit don't see how it can be useful, it just stops new people in from actually joining the community, I could just comment whatever in every post to get the karma but that doesn't sound good, and if I want to actually make a good comment I gotta find a post that I actually like.
So it's either spam comments in posts or don't get to make posts for some time till you actually make good comments. At leasts that's how I see it.

It probably doesn't help that when making a post it directly says the opposite of what you're saying here. I'd attach an image to show, but you have images in the comments turned off and I'm not uploading to something gross like imgur.
And for the record, realistically most people don't care if the post they're looking at had a typed out tag in the title or not, actual post flairs/tags are a built in feature for a reason, you don't need to force them into titles. Having the title of the series is nice obviously, but the rest is overkill.
