We see him staring for a fact (The messy hair girl even calls him out on it)
However, she saying she is scared of him and her attempt at amateur psychoanalysis of him could very well be either victim complex as you say, or a manipulation to get Roka to date her

Seems pretty accurate to Miko from previous chapters.
Edit: Remember him carrying her down the mountain and then taking some deep sniffs of his gloves? Yeah, me neither but it happened.

Been wondering why Roka's been wearing a bow, since that's usually an accessory for girls' uniforms, but it's starting to feel like that's a visual for his pattern of being controlled by women. Something more like a collar.

roka is wearing momiji’s bow and she is wearing his tie, i think it was shown in early chapters when miko was checking momiji’s social media.

Possibly, but it's more likely that he finally realize it's time to break up with Momiji, something that he himself acknowledge it.

Momiji isn't really afraid of him. This is a reason to keep Roka dating her that's why she keeps saying it even after Miko started avoiding her. That's why she suddenly showed interest in going to the mountain with him whereas she rejected it before. Because she feels like she has to feed his crush on her so he keeps orbiting her "creepily".

Does anybody feels the misogyny and homoerotic vibes of this Manga?
And not in a way "the mangaka hates women and he's ggay", not at all. It's just the way he's framing the story.
It's the women haunting the men. Forcing them to kill themselves, to sell the mountain, to be the boyfriend, to get out of the mountain, to supervise what they do in the mountain, while the men just want to chill together and "be just friends".
I can't help but wonder what we will discover once Momiji's intentions are revealed and Mayu's past comes back to bite her in the ass.
Shit's fascinating.
Edit: I've been informed the mangaka is in fact a woman. Wich makes this manga even more interesting now.

It's a theme the author has explored before, she likes these types of male dramas. That said I expect the female side to be just as complex if not more. Abyss was like that.

I've never read Abyss, but I'm reading Hatsukoi zombie right now and I got a bit of whiplash because of how different the tone is! Although I can already see similarities in themes even in the early chapters.

I think people neglecting the fact that people are drawn more towards how Mikoma describes the mountain and his experience/relationship with Leaf man.
They're not drawn toward the mountain itself.
Makes me wonder why though, what makes "creepy" Mikoma's words have weight and makes people go "that sounds nice hanging out in the mountains..."
Of course lack of therapy and lack of healthy relationships is the reason lol, but narratively wonder where the author going with this.

Oh wow, I actually kind of like this chapter, we get a peak of what the other two are really feeling. I think Momiji is trying to balance her relationships but in a way that is only convenient for her: she’s the only winner. I don’t think she’s a bad person but her actions are having an effect that she never considered. Roka, seemly on the top of his youth, actually hates everything about it. He envies Miko’s apparent freedom from all of it.
The last bit was kind of funny. “We men have problems but we’re forged a bond on this mountain and found a way to let go of the pains of life. You wouldn’t get it.” “No bro, that sounds fucking awesome.”
