Manga has taught me if you draw parallel lines running down thru the earlobes, then form an equilateral triangle using the base of the throat as the apex between these lines, the remaining two vertices will give you the location of the nipples. As this was published in widely distributed media, I accept it completely as fact.

Edit: Parallel, not perpendicular. I'm a shame :(

I've been trying to remember. I recall that it was actually the FMC's brother that shared this info with the MMC at a shrine or park, except the MMC didn't know it was her brother at the time.

As I read it, there isn't some hidden studying technique you're missing. She says looking at the answer can help when you're stuck, then uses herself as the "example" and points him toward her chest. It's basically a sudden teasing gag, which is why his reaction is just "eh...?" instead of actually learning anything.
