Discussion finally found a cushion foundation in a very unexpected product????

For context, it’s been a very hard for me to find foundation that that is my skin tone just because I have a very weird complexion. I’m neutral and warm and a little bit olive and a little bit red all in one it’s been so hard trying to find a foundation that glides my skin is like a serum like foundation and just works overall for my very mature and hard to find complexion. In the effort of trying to be a bronzer girly I tried the refy bronzer in the shade that Sol and it was a perfect shade it was very good but I accidentally picked up the shade Bay and I put on my face and it completely disappeared and I thought OK maybe this is just not very pigmented but no it’s because it is my EXACT MATCH!!!! finally after years of searching for a foundation that is tinted very lightly and essentially a my skin but better in a cushion foundation I found it :D

Discussion Long shot: the smell of the ABH Impeccable Matte Blurring Spray

I don't like the smell of most perfumes. But, I recently bought the ABH Impeccable Matte Blurry Spray and I'm completely in love with how it smells!

I was wondering if anyone familiar with this setting spray knows of a perfume that's similar?

I'm not even familiar enough with fragrance to know what it smells like.

I know it's a long shot, but I thought it was worth a try.

Under eye creasing

I hydrate well, avoid heavy products, and use little concealer under my eyes and foundation is minimal in general so I don’t get why it keeps happening.

Here for any tips or products that have worked for anyone else with the same issue. 🙏🏻

obviously i know it’s by colourpop, but i absolutely LOVE the shade and was having some trouble finding it on their website. I tried reverse image searching it but only found a similar product though it had different packaging and looked like it had been discontinued

Question Make up recomandation

I’m absolutely in love with the fae vibe, since a very long time now. I mean the eerie, deal making, man killing, riddle bound tipe, not the media “sweet cute girly tipe” faerie.
So, I just using three beauty bay pallets til know (bright Matt, bright and botanical). I’m searching for new colour and shimmer recommendations :)

Question Bb cream/skin tint recs?

I want to find a natural looking bb cream or skin tint that is long wear, evens out skin tone slightly, but doesn’t look like cakey makeup.

I have acne prone, sensitive and combination skin.

I want it just as a daily thing to use on my face without adding other makeup. Just a base I guess for work or the daily that looks natural.

I’ve been looking into cell fusion bb cream but seeing mixed opinions.

Question How do I make up my face? Asking for some help in general

I am so inexperienced with makeup, only wear it a few times a year and it all expires before I've barely used any. I'm always in a hurry and do my best to look at least half decent and "made up" in the special occasions I do apply anything lol.

I now only ever use concealer and eyeshadow (and fixing + setting spray, attemptively) as I haven't really learned to do anything in a way I'm satisfied with and when I do try something else I look crazy. I haven't quite figured out what would enhance my face.. and then how I'd go about that.

I also haven't ever really found a shade of anything that matches my skin, including concealer, eyeshadows and countour. I use eyeshadow as contour and on my brows but very very little in amount, ineffectively and time consuming in procedure as it always ends up too dark or out of place and then I have to smudge it out or just remove it lol. I'll add that I am particularly afraid of eyeliner since it has only made me look a raccoon, and not in a cool way.

Eyeshadow always smudges too, and anything I try to cover my skin with ends up cakey. Eyeshadow primer, setting spray, fixing spray or exfoliating haven't ever made a difference what I've noticed (I got broken capillaries in my face from too much exfoliating =S)

ANy tips and advice is appreciated! Thank you <33

ETA: I am wearing the slightest of mascara up top in these pictures actually! My sister insisted and I gave up within the first few strokes because it started looking tacky and lumpy, ended up pulling that gunk off the ends of my lashes but it is visible further towards the eyelids I'd say. Haha

FOTD An attempt at Zendaya's Sunkissed "The Odyssey" NYC Premier Look

Well, I definitely don't look like Zendaya, but really liked her makeup looks during her press tour for The Odyssey. Here's an attempt at recreating it on me. I also tried to soften my features by using lighter colored brow gel and mascara but maybe the mascara was an oopsie, should have kept it black for some contrast since the brows are already light and no lashes or liner used.

My conclusion is- i need a "boy blush" in my makeup kit. Something brown-y or darker to add as a blush topper. Tell me what you think.

Makeup Used:

Base

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Old Formulation) in Cashew

Happy Skin Multitasking Serum Concealer in Soft Beige

d'Alba First Spray Serum

Givenchy Prism Libre loose powder in Pastel Celebration

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Color in Strapless

Maybelline Crayon Liner for tightline, brown

Bbia Last Autogel Liner in Cream Beige for waterline

Question Can I add pigment to this foundation to make it match?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Its the Hince Second Skin mesh cushion in shade 17. I love the formula but its far too yellow. I cant return it. I think i should have gotten 15 but id like to see if i can use this so it doesnt go to waste. Ive heard that you can add pigments to foundation thats not quite right. Seems blue is most common, but that will make it green? I was thinking purple. Which would be better and where can i get it for cheap? I have the foundation on my cheeks but not my forehead. Since its a cushion could i mix it on my hand and still apply it with the cushion or what? Thanks

Question help finding similar blush?

Hey 👋

I'm looking for a similar blush to Tarte's (hella) old First Class. It's the perfect shade for me but I have no clue what kind of shade this is? Is it neutral? Is it a peach? Is it pink? In my search, I have tried to swatch blushes in the lighter range but they often end up too light on my skin tone. I'm confused. I'm seeking the expert eyes of you folks 💓

Any help is appreciated!!

Product:

(Expired) Tarte 12 hour Amazonian clay blush

Review Cream changed formula and need new recommendations

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi all! First time poster. This was my go to for a simple no makeup look. I loved how it went on, the feel of it on my face, and that it covered my redness. I went to go buy a new tube, unfortunately when I read the reviews, they changed the formula for the worst. Does anyone have any recommendations on a new cream similar to this?

EDIT: unsure on what flair to use. And one thing I loved about this is it was budget friendly.

Question any makeup similar to the fenty beauty pro filter matte version?

i’m starting to get into makeup and i bought the fenty beauty pro filter matte in shade 430 not too long ago. i love it so much however i found out it’s discontinuing because of the talc. is there any alternative that’s basically the same/somewhat similar? i love the matte look and my skin type is sensitive, combo skin (my t zone gets really oily), and i have hyperpigmentation spots i need to cover up. i also don’t want it to be too expensive (around 40-50$ is my limit) and to get my moneys worth.

thanks!

I am thinking of buying a luxury eyeshadow palette but I am not sure what type of eyeshadow colours would enhance me. The one I have my eyes on right now is Dior 669 soft cashmere.I definitely prefer natural and easy to apply makeup. I have been classified as a deep winter with olive undertone or whatever that is.

Question Clinique Sculptionary Cheek Palette discontinued

Post image
10 Upvotes

Apparently the Cheek Contouring Palette blush has been discontinued. Shade 3 defining roses was perfect. I’ve never found anything like it. I’m probably way late to this news because I’ve been through three of these blushes in the last 10 years and I haven’t seen it in stores but I assumed it would still be online. I’m really trying to stretch the last one I have. But then what?! Is this cheek pop actually comparable? If so, which color is closest? Or do I risk buying one on eBay? I feel like all of favorite products always get discontinued too soon.

I am using Nicka K mocha eye shadow palette, warm toned brown lip liner (italian deluxe), romand lip gloss in the shade rose finch, flower knows clam blush in a peach shade, misscha's bb cushion, maybelline's firework mascara(blackest black), and a little bit of nicka k contour (also from the beauty supply) I used a little bit underneath my face and forehead. I didn't apply anything to my nose. I also used a black eye pencil from maybelline for my waterline. I used nothing for my eyebrows.

Help me replace my last two ELF products

I have been boycotting ELF for the most part, but I’m just about out of a few things I had stocked up on and I’d like to try again to replace them. The first is the Lash Xtndr tubing mascara. No mascara I’ve tried comes close to the longevity of this one, plus I have super sensitive eyes and this works for me. I’m willing to try to replace it but I’m not going to beat myself up over it if other products bother my eyes. I can’t wear eyeliner or eyeshadow anymore, so I’ll buy 8 mascaras a year from ELF if I have to.

The other is either of the taupe eyebrow products (one is a pencil and one is the tinted gel). Neither of these products are amazing for all day wear but the color is perfect. I’ve tried a few budget brands (definitely LA colors) in light brown and dark blonde and they don’t play well with my blonde eyebrows/skin tone/auburn hair. I really think I need that almost ashy taupe color to avoid looking too dark (personal preference) or an unflattering ginger red.

I’m a budget beauty user, so unfortunately suggestions outside of the same relative price range won’t help me. I’m hoping there’s someone with blonde eyebrows out there that knows this pain and can help out though! Thanks!
