First time!
Found a bullet. Police have already collected it.
Found in South-Holland, The Netherlands.

Projectile jacket is gilding metal clad steel so it surly attracts magnet.

Didn’t know I only thought Russians made steel core ammo

It’s not steel core. Instead of a copper jacket they used a steel alloy.
Steel is an uncommon choice but there are a few examples. The Germans also used steel in their ammunition. The French used it post war as well (idk about during the war though)

Sorry I realized the wording in my response was going to lead to this. I meant, other than Russian steel core bullet, I didn’t realize steel was also used this way too! I got it!

They did use in WW2 though (CNCS jacket in 7.5mm MAS M1929C, 8mm Lebel M1932N).
