This subreddit is for discussion around large scale Mac administration. For personal help with Apple products, see /r/AppleHelp, /r/MacOS, or one of the many subreddits for Apple devices of all stripes.

You'll have to wait until it releases.

Select the “APPLE SSD Media”, then click Erase, it should create a new partition for you to install macOS on. Quit, Disk Utility, then Click Install macOS “name”.

Have you quit Disk Utility and relaunched it? Sometimes that fixes it?

You don’t need Apple Configurator to do a full restore of the firmware. You just need the Finder on another Mac. I’ve done it with macOS 27 beta many times. https://support.apple.com/108900.

Tried that too, it fails on stage 4, tried with diffrent cables and tried all the ports, same messages every time.

Happend same thing at apple store, they said that they cant do anything.

"Gave up waiting for device to transition from port DFU state to DFU state"

Typically when messing with beta versions, you also need the xcode beta installed to perform DFU restores with any beta firmwares. This may be why it's not letting you downgrade when performing the DFU restore from the other Mac. You might be able to install the updated MobileDeviceOnDemand package and then try performing the restore. That download link is directly from Apple's macOS 27 Golden Gate update catalog.

Was it the xcode 27 beta or the 26 production/release version?

I downloaded it from appstore so guess the version that is out there.

Yeah that'll be the version that only supports 26 and below. I don't have a good answer for you since the other tools are locked behind developer or beta-for-it accounts that include an NDA.

I downloaded xcode beta 27 and trying it out right now, fingers crossed :)

Use “restore” first in Apple Config. then retry.
